GIVING SUPPORT TO FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS IN THE VILLAGE IN FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES

Grants are only given to applicants from Chilton parish.

We have provided a grant this year towards the cost of repairs to the village hall so this could again be used by all the community.We have provided a wooden bench for the garden of rest in the village for the use of the public.

The charity has ownership of a parcel of woodland "Smaller Poors Piece" in Little Baddow and the money from its lease is held in funds fully separated although it is jointly administered with charity 239382. The object of the charity is to relieve either generally or individually persons resident in the Parish of Little Baddow who are in conditions of emotional or other need, hardship or distress.

We are based at the 50 acre award winning Woodland Education Centre in South West England. We provide education about the natural world for all ages and abilities. We have an extensive website which attracts up to 1.5 million hits/month. A large number of habitats have been restored at the Centre and this work is ongoing.

We organise walks in the City, in particular in areas that may find themselves under threat from development and monitor planning applications that may affect our parks and open spaces. We issue two Newsletters and attend events in the City to promote our organisation.

Green space

To give grants for any charitable purpose for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Westerham for which provision is not made out of rates, taxes or other public funds.

Provides local parisioners with allotments for cultivation of fruit and vegetables and grazing paddock for local recreational livestock.

Provision of open space for the pursuit of allotment gardening within Shaftesbury, Dorset

We supply funding for a competition organised by the York House Society to encourage local children to take an interest in their local (Twickenham, Greater London, UK) heritage and history.NB the York House Society is a Twickenham based local Amenity Society, founded in 1924.
