Facilities Charities

The Committee provides and upkeeps the hall and playing field which acts as a centre point for the village. Various clubs - cricket, football, table tennis and bowls are very popular, with youth teams being encouraged. Children are provided with a safe play area with picnic tables.

To maintain and run the Village Hall

The organisation and operation of the Youth Centre known as "E R Mason Youth Centre" in Birmingham. Providing activities for young people to fill their social time with positive activities and projects.

Provides accommodation for village clubs, societies, meetings and social events.

Provision of sport and recreational facilities

Running the Hall and Recreation Ground

Provide a safe environment for young people to meet.

Provides various activites primarily for the residents of Lodge Moor and Fulwood at the Community Hall and other locations in the area. It owns and maintains the Hall.

Maintaining and operating the Sports Hall and Play facilities which are the responsibility of the Hingham Playing Field Association

The premises are used by:-A Pre-School Play Group, Theatrical Society, Ballet Classes for ages 4 to Adult, Mixed Badminton, Ladies Badminton, Modern Dance Classes, Young People's Modern Dance Classes, Tea Dances, Old Time Dancing, Theatre Dance Classes and Scottish Country Dancing, Pilates, Fitness Sessions, Strength & Balance and Aerobics for the over 50's (NHS Project).

Provider of Accommodation for Youth Organisations for Residential Activities

The purpose of the charity is the preservation of Bedford Park in perpetuity by the use of Bedford Borough Council as the Conservators of Bedford Park, as an Open Space for the recreation and enjoyment of the public.

BENA financially maintains the Bennetts End Community Centre which provides hall/room hire opportunities for local residents, community groups & organisations. We arrange special events to encourage local participation.

THE TRUST DISPLAYS VERSES FROM THE BIBLE IN PUBLIC SPACES, FOR EXAMPLE ACROSS THE RAILWAY NETWORK, LONDON UNDERGROUND, ON BUSES, IN PEDESTRIAN AREAS. THE TRUST MAINTAINS A WEB SITE FOR PROMOTIONAL AND INFORMATION PURPOSES. THERE IS ALSO A HELP LINE MANNED BY AN EXPERIENCED TRUSTEE.

A WIDE VARIETY OF USES OF THE TRUST FACILITIES BY ALL AREAS OF THE COMMUNITY ARE ENCOURAGED BY THE TRUST IN THE PURSUIT OF THE ACHIEVEMENT OF ITS OBJECTIVES

The Centre provides activities for young people aged 10-19. The programme includes media & music, arts, crafts & dance workshops, sports activities, holiday programmes, residentials and open access sessions. For those involved in/likely to be involved in, antisocial/criminal behaviour the Centre provides alternative challenges. The Centre is a community resource which can be hired for events.
