The preservation and restoration of heritage railway artefacts, especially those relating to the former railways of the lower Swansea valley and South West Wales. The society acts as an umbrella organisation for a variety of interest groups with similar aims and objectives to the Swansea Vale Railway Society.

The Society is established for the public benefit in STAPLEHURST PARISH to:(i) promote high standards of planning and architecture.(ii) educate the public in the geography, history, natural history and architecture.(iii) secure the preservation, protection, development and improvement of features of historic or public.

We supply funding for a competition organised by the York House Society to encourage local children to take an interest in their local (Twickenham, Greater London, UK) heritage and history.NB the York House Society is a Twickenham based local Amenity Society, founded in 1924.

We rescue Dunkirk little ships which are in danger of destruction and remove them to a safe place. We then attempt to organise their restoration using volunteer labour as for as possible and teach the art of restoration and operation of these vessels.

Blaina Heritage Action Group aims to preserve the heritage of the historic town of Blaina. The town has significant historical links to ironworks during the industrial revolution. It endeavours to collect, preserve and display items, testimonials and artefacts pertaining to the role Blaina has played in Welsh history.
