WE ARE THE HUB OF THE UK TRANSPORT PRESERVATION MOVEMENT, WE MAKE AWARDS AND GRANTS FOR RESTORATION PROJECTS; RECOGNISE INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENT AND CONTRIBUTION; ENCOURAGE THE INVOLVEMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN RESTORATION PROJECTS; ADVISE AND ASSIST NATIONAL BODIES ON HERITAGE AND PRESERVATION; MARK AND EDUCATE ON SITES OF HISTORICAL TRANSPORT SIGNIFICANCE.

Sports/recreational activites

Maintenance of historic grade 1 Listed Building to provide suitable accommodation for needy/elderly residents who are capable of living independently.

Safe Guard the Museum collections, training, research and education

Apply income and capital of the Trust Fund for or towards any of the objects of Armenian House Ltd, (Charity no. 305961) as well as to aplly the income of the Trust Fund for the advancement of education and learning and in particular for the advancement of education and learning among Armenians in the United Kingdom and promotion of the study of Armenian history, language, culture and religion.

The charity raises money by fundraising and receiving donations, specifically for the purchase of art and meet expenses to stage exhibitions in the gallery. These activities allow the public, both local and visiting, together with schools over a wide area to appreciate a diverse range and variety of art.

The only activity and aim of the charity is to act as a collector of donations intended for the restoration, repair and preservation of Romsey Abbey and its contents and to make grants to Romsey Parochial Church Council for this purpose.

Maintenance of listed grade II buildings (historical & architectural) local history museum (free of charge).

The principal activities of the charity throughout the year have continued to be that of promoting and encouraging the public study of British family history, genealogy, heraldry and local history and also to promote the preservation, security and accessibility of archival material.

Run Hastings Fishermen's Museum and Hastings History House, both of which offer archive material, organise walks and talks, events in Old Town and Hastings Weeks, follow planning issues and make representations where appropriate, maintain building databases and supply information as and when required.

SFHG offers encouragement, help and advice to all. 4 meeting centres with monthly meetings at Brighton & Hove, Horsham, Uckfield, Worthing. SFHG library at Falmer nr Lewes. Website and magazine. E-newsletter "Surelye", e-mailing list. Annual conference. Transcriptions, indexes, databases, CDs etc. from [email protected]. Bookstall at events.

THE CHARITY'S OBJECT AND PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY IS RESCUING, RESTORING & DISPLAYING COMBUSTION ENGINES OF HISTORICAL OR TECHNICAL INTEREST WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON GAS ENGINES MADE IN THE GREATER MANCHESTER AREA. IT ALSO RESCUES, RESTORES & DISPLAYS ITEMS OF HISTORICAL OR TECHNICAL INTEREST RELATING TO POYNTON'S HISTORY WITH EMPHASIS ON THE LOCAL COALMINING INDUSTRY & INDUSTRIAL ARCHAEOLOGY.

To educate the public by its promotion, support, assistance, and improvements of the Burton Art Gallery and Museum, Bideford, Devon, through the activity of a group of Friends. The Friends activity includes short term exhibitions, lectures on artistic subjects, schools' education and assisting with purchases for the permanent exhibition.

The object of the charity is to run and maintain the grade 2 listed property for the benefit of the local community.The management committee receives income from the rental of the hall to local groups and from the rental of the residential properties - a cottage and 3 flats - to individuals.

FOUNDED IN 1929 THE OBJECT OF THE SOCIETY IS TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE ARCHAEOLOGY IN THE COUNTY OF DEVON FOR THE BENEFIT AND EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC.

The objectives of the Trust are the preservation and improvement of the fabric of the Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great and the maintenance of the church, the buildings used in connection therewith, the ornaments and furnishings thereof and the services held therein.

To advance the education of the public in the study of family history, genealogy and heraldry with particular reference to Somerset and Dorset.To promote the preservation, security, accessibility and publication of archival material

We act as a link between all the Companies and Battalions in our area and the Boys' Brigade National Headquarters.We also provide camping facilities at our Camping Centre in Dyffryn Ardudwy, Wales.We are also responsible for the National Boys' Brigade Memorial garden at the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas, Staffordshire.

THE PROVISION OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES TO WIDEN KNOWLEDGE OF ELGAR'S MUSIC FOR ALL, SUPPORT FOR THE ELGAR BIRTHPLACE MUSEUMS AND EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS, THE FUNDING AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF PERFORMANCES AND RECORDINGS OF HIS WORKS, THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF RESEARCH INTO ELGAR'S MUSIC, AND THE PUBLICATION OF A SCHOLARLY JOURNAL CONTAINING THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH.

To provide a building and rooms for meetings from various groups ie football club, nursery school, youth club, different groups of all ages within the village.

Upkeep and maintenance of Ashton Almshouses in Dunstable.

Promotion of the study of Greek Archaeology

We promote Bognor Regis local history by offering monthly meetings with talks on various subjects. We also offer slide shows and talks to local schools and adult groups, plus attend seasonal events with our own stall. Finally, the society operates a local history museum in the town, run entirely by the volunteer membership.

The historic Turk's Head is fully restored and kept in good condition. A cafe is open 7 days a week and upstairs is workspace. The charity uses the rental income to support community activities in the area.We organise an annual event for the whole community in mid summer and work on the creation of community assets. We plan to restore Wapping's river stairs and build a lido in Shadwell Basin

We are Trustees for a community and grounds in the heart of Dormansland. We provide facilities and events for all the members of the parish, their friends and family. We are proud to be the Trustees for a Hall for All.
