Operation and maintainance of a village hall

To promote Local History in Suffolk

(a) Provision and maintenance of a small village hall for use by the inhabitants for meetings lectures and classes, recreation and leisure time occupations for the benefit of the inhabitants of Highbridge(b) Upkeep and maintenance of garden of remembrance as a memorial to men who gave their lives in World War II

The objects of the Society shall be to advance the education of the public in the subject of History, and to facilitate historical research, by the publication, distribution and interpretation of records relating to the history of the County of Oxfordshire.

Provide opportunities for the general public to be actively involved in the environment & local history of Sholing Valleys. Activities include litter-picks, pond-dipping, animal/plant surveys, tree planting, slide shows & much more. We run a monthly Childrens Group at our Study Centre & encourage Group visits. Organising popular fund-raising events we also work closely with similar groups.

Maintaining the Burwell War Memorial and attached cottage

Raising funds for the upkeep and maintenance of Whittington Community Centre to ensure it is available for the benefit of the general public.

The objects of the trust are to promote for the benefit of the nation the preservation of public transport vehicles and items of allied transport interest which are of historical and educational value.

The Trust owns Abbots Hall, a number of buildings and some 65 acres of land. All of this was let to the Museum of East Anglian Life(now known as the Food Museum) and included in two 120 year leases date 1/9/2004.The Abbots Hall Trust is concerned with monitoring the two leases to the museum and with liaising with the museum and other bodies where appropriate.

The charity makes grants to churches in the Diocese of Guildford for the maintenance and improvement of their bell installations.

1. Promotion of the study of all branches of natural history and all matters relating to the conservation of flora, fauna, habitats and geological features in Hertfordshire. In particular to record and monitor the occurrence,distribution and status all forms of wildlife and how this changes over time and to publish the results.2. Encourage participation in these activities

THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF A MUSEUM IN THE OLD LEIGH CONSERVATION AREA FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND FOR THE EXHIBITION TO THE PUBLIC OF OBJECTS AND OTHER ITEMS CONNECTED WITH THE HISTORY OF THE TOWN OF LEIGH-ON-SEA.

Maintenance and upkeep of Ladies Lodge Almshouses, and help toward energy and other costs for residents.Yearly payments to incumbents of some local churches.Collection of annual rent for farm land at Totternhoe.Grants made to people in neighbourhood of Dunstable, to relieve hardship.Grants to local organisations or instutions which provide facilities for those in need.

The preservation, repair, maintenance, restoration, improvement and ornamentation of the fabric of the Parish Church of St Paul, Bedford and other property used and occupied by the said Church.

Conservation of industrial heritage in the unitary authorities that make up the former Country of Avon. Provision of advice on the industrial archaeology of the area.

Aberthin Village Hall is of local historic interest, being the second oldest Weslian Chapel in Glamorgan. Apart from preserving the fabric of this historic building, it is a centre for Aberthin Village activities with both organised events and private hiring. Amongst others, a children's playgroup meets daily in the Hall, and it is used on 2 Sundays per month for a village religious service.

Stickford Community Centre provides facilities for members of the public and residents of Stickford. These includemeetings/activities eg Parish Council Meetings, Stickford Ladies Social Circle, Keals Club, Relax and Craft Group, Local History Group, Coffee mornings, Bingo and other fundraising events. It is hired as a training venue and used as an emergency facility in case of flooding, etc.

Museum providing information and exhibits about Ashford in Kents past including for the first time an area highlighting the towns railway history. For the 2014 season a display commemoration the first world war with photographs and letters fromlocal people. It also includes a small mock trench.

During the year the Fund made Grants and Bursaries to assist in the education of 11 pupils at Aldenham School. None of the pupils supported by the Fund were children of Old Aldenhamians. 11 pupils were supported by way of Bursaries and none by Grant. The total amount of financial assistance provided by way of Grants and Bursaries was -ú10,500.
