The charity is constructing a British Railways standard class 3 steam locomotive. All locomotives of this class were scrapped at the end of the steam era on Britain's railways. The locomotive is of significant historical importance. It represents the last of a class of locomotives that were designed to operate on branch and suburban lines

The purchase of works of art or other objects of archaeological historical or scientific interest for the benefit of the public in the permanent collection maintained by Reading Borough Council

We promote modern and contemporary art through our gallery and through exhibitions in particular but not exclusively in Gateshead, Newcastle and the surrounding region; and advance the education and understanding of the public in modern and contemporary art.

A grant making charity established in 1941 by Harry Brearley, the discoverer of stainless steel.The Trustees policy is to meet the objectives whilst giving priority to organisations within South Yorkshire in the following spheres: Education (including Travel & Training);Heritage, Restoration & Environment; Music & The Arts; Recreation (including Holidays & Sport; Welfare, Health & Social Care.

The Cromwell Museum Trust exists to: operate the Museum for the benefit of the Nation; advance the education of the public by supporting and raising the profile of the study, research and investigation of the life of Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector; and to preserve and develop the Collections for the investigation of the history of the 17th century and of Cromwell's influecne and legacy.

Excavating archaeology is the life blood of this science. Thus, the Society is conducting its owns excavations that are advertised and freely open to the public to attend. In addition, the Society also supports both in terms of expertise and financially, community-based archaeology in Kent.

The main activities of the CIO are the provision of courses and projects utilising historical and heritage related themes for people living with mental health issues, dementia, or experiencing isolation or loneliness. The CIO also provides activities for young people to learn from their peers, and also to provide training for carers on reminiscence therapy techniques.

The charity continues to raise money for the repair, restoration and redecoration of this 12th Century Parish Church in the 900th year of its foundation.

To provide a museum for the general benefit of the inhabitants of Southend-on-Sea

The Trust offers financial assistance to support education, culture and and historical research with a Polish focus. This includes supporting publications, exhibitions and symposia. There is a particular emphasis on Polish history since 1914 and the emigre movement.

The running of premises for the storage and restoration of items, and a museum of restored items which tell the story of local road passenger transport on the South Coast.The organisation and operation of free bus services and other special events to demonstarte the vehicles and practices used in the past to operate local road passenger transport.

The Charities activities have yet to be confirmed by the Trusteed and implemented. The areas that these activities will operate in in not specific but will be primarily in the regiment's recruiting area. This does not exclude any other area of the UK.

Operation and maintenance of the Woodbridge Tide Mill Museum. The present Mill was built in 1793 and is Grade I listed. The Mill is open to the public and produces and sells its own flour. Guided tours and special events for schools take place.

The objectives of the RI are for the advancement of the aesthetic education of the public by the promotion of the fine arts and in particular the art of painting in watercolours. (These objectives are mainly realised through an annual exhibition. This year was the 209th and held at the Mall Galleries, London).

The Ted Ellis Trust maintains a nature reserve at Wheatfen Broad, Surlingham in the Yare Valley SSSI in Norfolk with extensive walks open to the public all year round. The Friends of the Trust organise fund raising events and run courses, mainly on natural history. The warden also leads guided walks and give talks.

The St Mary's Old Church is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and grade II listed monument halfway along the Greensand Ridge footpath. CHT will manage the restoration to provide access to a safe historic building and education about the church and local history. They will also provide accommodation, healthy activities and traditional (crafting, heritage, building and eco) education for all.

The advancement of education and knowledge through the support and promotion of research into the history and topography of cities and towns in Great Britain and by the dissemination of the results of such research, in particular by the publication of historic town atlases and other maps and related works.

Art Gallery and Academy of Artist Members.Free access to in excess of 12 temporary exhibitions per year. With lectures, workshops, master-classes and demonstrations, working with the general public, schools and community groups.

Promote Tamil culture and to preserve and interpret Tamil history and culture for education and enjoyment of present and future generations.
