The Society was founded with the object of promoting interest in and knowledge of the history of the Church of England from the sixteenth century onwards. The Society aims to do this through an annual lecture and by publishing primary material of significance for the history of the Church of England, whether in the form of letters, diaries, treatises, visitation articles, or other documents.

The Society was founded in 1930 to encourage the study and preservation of Norfolk records and to publish editions of documents relating to the history of the county. It normally publishes one volume per year.

PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN A LOCAL HISTORIC BUILDING FOR THE USE OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. FOR ALL AGES AND ALL ACTIVITIES.

We run Mottram Community Centre, which is an old Grade II listed building, in the village of Mottram-in -Longdendale, in Greater Manchester. We take care of the building and hire out the Centre to the local community and beyond. We take regular or one-off bookings from various organisations, from both the voluntary and private sector.

MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP OF VILLAGE HALL BASED IN SINTON GREEN SERVING THE PARISH OF GRIMLEY

To support the STEAM Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon in promoting the history and legacy of the Great Western Railway and in particular the railway works through a programme of investment, education and promotion. The Friends help with the cost of purchase, restoration and display of artefacts, carry out fundraising and promote the Museum through events, activities & publications.

Village hall to provide amenity facilities for local area. Currently: physical and mental well-being including pilates and yoga, bridge club, archaeology group, village social events including quiz nights, summer barbecues and armistice day celebrations, private lettings for children's parties and wedding receptions for the adjoining St Peter's church.

The organisation is responsible for the management of Battisford Village Hall, a former Victorian school that was transferred to community ownership in 1970, for the use of the villages of Battisford, Combs, Little Finborough, and Ringshall. The building is provided for public hire; it is regularly used by a snooker club and for private hires.

The Fund was established on 29th August 1980 for the administration of the Charity of Amelia Cook for the Gospel Work at the Gospel Hall at Tatsfield. Surrey. This includes the upkeep and repair of the fabric of the Gospel Hall at Farnborough and furthering the religious work of the Open Brethren in Tatsfield and Farnborough.

To support the Church of England day schools. The building endowment, reparation or restoration of Churches of the Church of England. All where Low Church Evangelical principles are taught or preached.

The MSRG aims to increase public awareness of settlement history across AD400-1500 in the British Isles through publication, seminars and conferences. It aspires to influence national policies on recording, preserving and excavating medieval rural sites. The group is open to amateurs and professionals with interests in these aims. It offers small grants for fieldwork and conference attendance.

To enhance the environment, promote environmental improvements in Seven Dials and the surrounding conservation areas, protect and enhance the built heritage and to educate the public in matters relating to the history of the area and its heritage.

Maintenance and any necessary restoration of the Church of St. John The Baptist, Aldbury, Hertfordshire, together with its churchyard.

Lectures and seminars in Jewish history and culture and the promotion of the academic study of all branches of Jewish culture.

The Society's New Series publications cover aspects of Westcountry political, social, religious, economic and maritime history. The Society publishes an annual volume which is sent to members on publication. Non-members may also purchase volumes. The Society's Collection of source material, mainly transcriptions of parish registers, is held at the Devon Heritage Centre for public use.

Provides buildings and facilities for sport and general recreation purposes.

The Society's objects are the practical study of archaeology, natural science, art, literature, history and kindred subjects as far as they pertain to Anglesey, also the preservation of historical documents, ancient monuments, rare birds and plants and objects of geological or other scientific interest in the Island, and to foster public interest in and appreciation of these subjects.
