Heritage Charities

The trustees seek to make donations to other charities and voluntary bodies for the benefit of Church of England Preservation projects and other charities dealing with Historical Preservation, both local to Oxfordshire and nationally. The trustees may also seek to make donations to other charities, voluntary bodies and individuals relating to the Arts, music and also for general charitable purpose

To uphold and promote the traditions of the nation's Royal Military Police and its antcedents; enable visitors to explore the Museum's heritage collection for learning, research and their enjoyment; and to preserve the Museum's collection, its artefacts and archives.

Promoting and undertaking the restoration of the Shrewsbury Canal and the Newport branch of the Shropshire Union Canal to good and navigable order, including associated structures and buildings, for the benefit of the public.

Uganda Concern UK supports the work being carried out by UWCM in rural communities near Mbale in the east of Uganda. Their work includes training and supporting women's groups and communities to restore their dignity and independence, and caring for needy individuals or families in their villages. Support and advocacy for orphaned and vulnerable children is another vital aspect of their work.

MAINTAINING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC A MUSEUM OF TRANSPORT CONTAINING VINTAGE BUSES, MORRIS CARS AND BICYCLES. MAINTAINING VEHICLES IN RUNNING ORDER AND RESTORING ACQUIRED VEHICLES. PROMOTING THE PERMANENT PRESERVATION OF BUSES AND OTHER VEHICLES OF LOCAL INTEREST, OF ACTUAL OR POTENTIAL HISTORIC OR SCIENTIFIC INTEREST AND EDUCATIONAL VALUE.

The Horse Rescue Fund aims to prevent and relieve cruelty to horses, ponies and donkeys, to protect them from unnecessary suffering and to advance the education of the public in their proper care and treatment. To this end we rescue any neglected or badly treated equines, restore them to full health and carry out all necessary rehabilitation to enable us to place them on loan in approved homes.

The Design History Society is the leading organisation that promotes the study of global design histories, and brings together and supports all those engaged in the subject - students, researchers, educators, designers, designer-makers, critics and curators. The Society aims to play an important role in shaping an inclusive design history.

The Friends of Malvern Priory have a close relationship with Malvern Priory PCC to whom grants are made for the preservation and beautification of the fabric of the building. The objects of the Charity are the upkeep of the fabric of Malvern Priory and its furnishings and adornment

to advance education for the public benefit by the presevation maintenance and exhibition of the historical archives of the Cayzer family business.

Museum of British military history for the education of the general public.

The Trust maintains a museum of firefighting in the Greater Manchester region. It manages a collection of fire engines, equipment, uniforms, medals etc, which is open to the public. The operation is run entirely by volunteers. Working in partnership with the Fire and Rescue Service, it also operates a dedicated education programme for schools.

Provision of a free bereavement counselling service that offers practical and emotional support to those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Running a schools project to provide specific bereavement and trauma Counselling for Children in Croydon. Assisting the preservation of war memorials and other public monuments in the area commemorating figures of historical importance.

We provide training for youth and children, counseling for people on family life, dealing with bereavement etc. We support people financially. We advance the Christian Faith in accordance with the statement of beliefs in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom We relieve sickness and promote and preserve good health by providing funds, goods or services of any kind,

Our activities are based around the education of the public in transport heritage generally, particularly in the Nottingham conurbation through preserving for posterity a collection of passenger service vehicles and associated artefacts. In August 2015 we leased a period bus garage in Hucknall to develop into a transport museum . We aim to engage all areas of the local community in our work.

Willow Tree provides disabled people with a practical scheme where learners take part in a range of activities; catering, fitness, dog training, DIY skills including furniture restoration. Growing vegetables and taking part in healthy living and exercise thus improving their quality of life, level of fitness and reducing their isolation, hence increasing their sense of purpose and value.
