1) The maintenance and repair of the parish church of Wootton and its appurtenances. 2) The general benefit of the poor within the ancient parish of Wootton.

To support the repair of the Union Chapel building in Upper Street, Islington; the safeguarding of the Congregation of Union Chapel Archives; and the implementation of the Organ Restoration and Music Outreach Project, and their use for the benefit of the wider community. To assist the Union Chapel Project, Margins Project, and Church in fund raising and organising events.

Weekly winter lectures on natural history and bird-watching, workshops re education, information and local studies of natural history topics such as moth trapping, fungi and bat detection and field trips throughout the year. Aim is to provide social, recreational and educational activities and liaison with groups local and national with similar interests to share information.

Payment of grants to residents of Thaxted who are either families with three or more children under the age of 16 on the qualifying date, couples who were married in Thaxted Parish Church within the previous twelve months of the qualifying date, apprentices or students undertaking further education. Grants may also be made to Thaxted Parish Church for restoration of the church.

The Trustees shall have power to hold IN TRUST Properties and Monies for the benefit of the Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene, Fleet. Income shall be invested as CAPITAL and the INTEREST ONLY shall be used as the need arises to assist the day to day running costs of the church, or repair and restoration work that needs to be carried out upon and within the church & churchyard.

To advance the Christian religion by providing financial assistance to Churches in the Diocese of Norwich for the purpose of providing, maintaining and improving bell installations by making grants and loans to them.These aims are achieved through the work of the Association's Standing Committee and Belfry Advisory Committee.

The principal activity of the Markfield Beam Engine and Museum is the conservation and operation of the Victorian Beam Pumping Engine as part of an heritage site and educational resource in the London Borough of Haringey. It is located in what was the old Tottenham sewage works, within what is now Markfield Park, and adjacent to the River Lea.

The museum's aim is to collect, care, conserve and display items relating to Fowey, illustrating the cultural and civic history and where possible link items to individuals, providing clues to social standing and lifestyle. We also share our ongoing research into Fowey's history with locals and visitors from home and overseas.

Fundraising and supporting the museum eg. on duty on desk for enquiries and shop, cataloguing and assisting with exhibitions, being trained to demonstrate resources to groups.

The North Downs Society is a public amenity society with the following objects: a) to conserve natural features and ecology, b) to encourage the preservation of buildings of historic interest and a high standard of design in all new developments and planning proposals, c) to stimulate public interest in the history, character, beauty and wild-life of the countryside, d) to further general amenity.

Education of the public and members of the regiment in the history and military accomplishments of the regiment by public exhibition of the collection in a museum. Restoration, conservation, repair, reconstruction and preservation of objects in the collection.

Running of Village Hall for the local community

The charity aim is to support the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum by providing funds for specified projects and organising events in support of the museum's activities.

In winter, monthly evening talks. In summer walks and visits to places with a history. Every May, a week end coach trip is taken to a different part of the country. We now have a website with pictures of old Aireborough.

Hold monthly lectures on subjects relating to local history. Arrange at least 2 evening outings and 1 day trip per annum. Produce publications on local history. Occasional open lecture with well known speaker.

Meeting place for members and others interested in Family History Research in West Middlesex.Transcribing and holding copies of Parish Registers and other records in the West Middlesex area.Attending "Fairs" to promote Family History and our Society.

Preservation and repair of Church building

Provision of museum services for the Thetford area of Norfolk as part of the Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service.

Provides members of the public monthly lectures in winter, monthly day trips in summer plus an annual weekend away. Produces an occasional journal on regional archaeological developments. Organises community archaeology projects.

To promote the study, recording and research of local history and to publish the Society's findings and other material of local historical interest/
