Heritage Charities

(1) - The restoration, preservation, operation and display of its steam locomotives, which includes LMS Princess Coronation Class Pacific 6233 "Duchess of Sutherland";(2) - The restoration, preservation, display and where appropriate, the operation of its rolling stock;(3) - The operation of the West Shed Museum, which aims to exhibit the full history of the LMS pacific class locomotives.

The museum will be a community hub / exhibition space for celebrating our history, traditions and heritage. Our activities include open days, family heritage days, school workshops, guided walks, research groups and oral history projects. Our ethos is inclusive. We aim to provide life-long learning opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds and foster a sense of belonging and well-being.

Society for the preservation of old buildings, currently Nutley Windmill and a Medieval Wealden Hall House, Bridge Cottage in the south end of Uckfield High Street, and the production of publications and exhibitions to promote interest and appreciation of the local heritage.

MDT works with the community to deliver social, economic and cultural regeneration projects. MDT's main aim is to acquire the redundant Old Hospital and develop it as a town-centre community hub including an information centre, the Library, a museum and space for events. MDT currently runs Minehead Information Centre and employs a manager to support the town's economic regeneration strategy.

The principal activity of the Foundation is the maintenance of the late Sir Edward Elgar's birthplace at Lower Broadheath, Worcester and of the collection of Elgar memorabilia and archive material. Seaton Sluice Community Association own and manage the local Community Centre offering a range of leisure activities and educational courses. Community groups and local people are able to hire the premises and activities range from parent and toddler groups and youth clubs to the Women's Institute. Activities are as varied as Yoga, Craft Club, Woodworking,Choirs and the local history society.

To advance the education of the public in the subject of the history of the Dartmoor Hill Ponies and any matters pertaining to animal welfare through social media/website, face to face events and work experience placements. Attending to Hill Ponies in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage. We have run gelding clinics.

Use of Turton Tower for any or all of the following purposes:museum, library, reading room, meeting room or offices for the work of the Trustees, or a public park or recreation grounds, or such other public purposes as the Trustees shall from time to time determine

The Foresters Heritage Trust was been set up to formally open a museum and maintain the history of the Ancient Order of Foresters Friendly Society Limited which was founded in 1834. In addition it provides an archive service to academics and members of the public researching social history and/or investigating family backgrounds. This service responds to enquiries received from around the world.

The Churchward County Trust Ltd continues to actively raise awareness of its goal to re-create a Great Western Railway 'County' class 4-4-0 steam locomotive using a mixture of new and original components. We continue to promote membership of the charity and raise funds to achieve our charitable aims through membership, sales and appeals.

Activities include an active and wide ranging programme of events in the pursuit of scouting principles; a badge shop selling badges and associated items to scout groups; the maintenance and upkeep of Scammonden Activity Centre, which provides the opportunity for youth groups and commercial organisations to stay at the Centre; and a shop at the Activity Centre selling stationery and refreshments.

The objects of the Medusa Trust are to advance the education of thr public by the provision of facilities to maintain, promote, restore. conserve, improve and develop historic vessels for the public benefit. To this end the trust has acquired the former HMS Medusa and carried out a major restoration programme to return her to seagoing condition, configured largely as she was at D Day.

THE FOUNDATION ASSISTS NORFOLK MUSEUMS SERVICE AND ITS PARTNERS TO SECURE FUNDING TO SUPPORT THE CARE AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE OUTSTANDING COLLECTIONS AND HISTORIC BUILDINGS CARED FOR BY THE SERVICE, AND TO DELIVER A WIDE RANGE OF ACTIVITIES INCLUDING EXTENSIVE FORMAL AND INFORMAL LEARNING PROGRAMMES, SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES, PUBLIC EXHIBITIONS AND EVENTS.

Publication of Dual Language Magazine, Cultural & Educational Activities, Oral History of Bangladeshi in Greater Manchester produced 50 videos and published a history book.

The principal object of the charity is to preserve the property known as The Chantry at Berkeley in the County of Gloucestershire being the property wherein the late Dr Edward Jenner (1749-1823) lived and died as a permanent memorial to Edward Jenner his life and his work (both in local community affairs and in Immunology) and his memory.
