To improve, protect and preserve the village of Preston, Herts for the benefit of the villagers and visitors, to promote high standards of planning/architecture in the area of benefit, to secure the preservation of features of historic or public interest (incl. the village's history) and to support and promote any purpose for the benefit of villagers, in particular: children and senior citizens.

To advance the education of the public by providing access to and maintaining the only surviving town gasworks in England and Wales.

The Society exists to carry out and promote research into the local history of Ilkeston and District, and for arranging meetings, events and publications for our members and for the general public.

Croydon Contacts is a small charity supporting adults with learning disabilities in Croydon to enjoy social activities in their local community. We run various events for members, staffed by volunteers & trustees, supported by carers & families. Events include Board Games; Bowling, Cinema & Lunch clubs; Summer day trips to local museums & parks; visiting local pantomimes & shows.

Formation and establishment of a public museum for the benefit of the inhabitants of Clayton le Moors, and the laying out of gardens and a public park for the same purpose.

Supplies speakers and research help to schools, presents monthly displays and lectures, holds an annual exhibition, collects and researches information and material on local area. Produces publications on related topics. Co-operates with local authority on conservation areas and preservation of the built and natural environment.

To inform and educate our members and the public about the history of our area, and to monitor planning proposals which will impinge on historic buildings and spoil the character of our community. To support financially projects which conserve historic sites and papers for the future.

The Society is established to advance the education of the public in the United Kingdom about any aspects of Cambodia, including its people, history, culture and traditions. The main events, organised by CASUNIK, are the Cambodian New Year in Mid April, the Pchum Ben (Remembrance) Ceremony in September/October (also election date of the new Executive Committee Members) and Xmas Party.

To provide and operate a recreation ground mainly for the use of the children and young people of Kingston St Mary.

The St Breward Institute and War Memorial Hall committee provides premises for use by the whole community of St Breward. The premises are used by all age groups for social, educational, sporting and recreational use.

Staging of/hosting regular social events for residents of the village of Taynton with a view to creating a facility for all to meet informally and raise funds for the on-going maintenance and repair of this primary social centre.

The charity manage the museum in Manningtree which is open to the general public, runs meetings and exhibitions to educate on the local history. The museum also organises history walks for schools, local groups and foreign school children. Maintains a large archive of local photographs and publication and family history information.

Supports the work of the Norris Museum, St Ives.

The new purpose of the Charity is the development and care of the permanent collections of Rochdale Art Gallery. This will specifically include purhcases, conservation (both remedial and preventative) and improved public access to the collection

WE HOLD REGULAR MONTHLY MEETINGS WITH A SPEAKER ON TOPICAL SUBJECTS. WE PUBLISH A BBLHS MAGAZINE FOUR TIMES A YEAR AND WE HOLD AND ATTEND EXHIBITIONS. WE ALSO ANSWER WORLD WIDE QUERIES RELATING TO THE HISTORY OF BOROUGH OF BROMLEY

To restore and enhance the tower and churchyard of St Mary's Hornsey for the benefit of the public.

Providing funds towards the maintenance and repairs of the parish church of Halstock, and towards the payment of expenses incident to the performance of divine service in the said church.

To promote the study and recording of the history of the area in all its aspects; to foster interest in research;to publish from time to time findings of the Society; to maintain, preserve and develop the "Liss Collection" and to use it (with any borrowed artefacts) for displays and exhibitions for educational purposes and/or the interest of the public. To develop greater accessibility by public.

Provides funds and human resources for the Fan Museum. Arranges raffles talks visits to other fan collections and other related activities.

Supporting the UK tradition and heritage of church bell ringing within the Southwell and Nottingham Diocese of the Church of England by providing financial support for the repair, restoration and augmentation of bells within the diocese.
