The Trust's main activity is its educational work for adult amateur musicians, through its year-round course programme and related musical activities at its residential centre in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

Our aim is to improve/disseminate knowledge of insect science. We organise meetings of a general/specialist nature where scientific knowledge is presented. The relationship of insects to ecology, conservation, food, animal or human health being a part of the science. We publish academic journals and identification guides for the general public and scientists. Our membership is international

The October Gallery is an arts complex dedicated to the appreciation of the transvangarde - the cross-cultural avant garde. The Gallery hosts exhibitions of art from around the world, talks on art and science, poetry readings, theatre and dance performances. Support is from sales of art, rental of the Gallery's unique facilities, grants, donations, staff, volunteers and friends.

Gladstone's residential Library is a resource for theology/spirituality, history/current affairs and literary culture.

To promote and foster the study of economic science, by means of publications, the annual conference and helping further the study of economics via the annual public lecture and the postgraduate conference.

Russell-Cotes provides a museum and art gallery based in a listed building overlooking Poole Bay.The Museum is part of the Government's initiative to improve access to the arts.

Theatre/Arts Venue

The Society, a charity for musicians run by musicians, provides grants and support to professional musicians and their families in need because of accident, illness or old age whether or not they are members. Founded in 1738 as the Fund for Decay'd Musicians, early members included Handel, Arne, Boyce and Sammartini. Today it maintains its tradition of responding swiftly to needs of colleagues.

The promotion of the religious and human development of the people of Africa; promotion of missionary vocation throughout the world; funding the recruiting and training of missionaries; missionary animation through our magazine & appeals in parishes; promotion of JPIC issues; the fostering of inter-religious encounter & dialogue; the care in retirement and/or sickness of our returned missionaries.

Providing leadership and strategic thinking, The Theatres Trust advises in planning, regeneration and development, architecture and design, heritage, and theatre. We enable better planning to secure, improve and achieve sustainability for new and existing theatre buildings and protect theatre use. The Theatres Trust also provides financial assistance for theatres through grants.

Our Association is established to promote education in the heritage of the railway from Taunton to Minehead by restoring, preserving and displaying railway locomotives, carriages, wagons and other artefacts (including documents, drawings, photographs, recordings and films) of historical interest and the buildings connected therewith.

The monastery promotes religion by providing public worship, preaching, hearing confessions and giving spiritual guidance. The principal activity of the company throughout the year was that of the National Dance Company Wales, which it undertakes in pursuit of its charitable objective of advancing the arts and education.

To promote and support the practice of the traditional folk arts, especially as practised in England. This includes traditional dance, music, song, folklore, storytelling, arts, and crafts. To conserve, maintain and develop the Halsway Manor as a hub for these activities.

The Trust is responsible for the upkeep and running of a grade 2* listed theatre and aims to celebrate that heritage.The New Theatre Royal promotes and presents a programme of both professional touring work and local amateur performances that includes theatre, music and dance. A comprehensive programme of workshops, classes and other work complete the educational and community portfolio.
