Arts Charities

Nottingham Bach Choir educates the public in the art and science of music, in the presentation of concerts. A particular activity is the study and performance of the music of J S Bach and his contemporaries.The choir rehearses weekly during term time at St John's Church, Carrington and performs three or four times a year in mainly church venues in the city and county of Nottinghamshire.

Brecon Festival Ballet advances the performing arts in Brecon and neighbouring places by developing and performing dance and ballet at the highest levels and making these accessible to new and existing audiences. We provide opportunities for the education, training, instruction and development of dance and ballet performers.

To advance the education of the public in the arts, particularly but not exclusively in the art of sculpture and casting, with preference (but without limitation) to students in Africa and the UK, by:1.the provision of facilities and training;2.educational exchanges and scholarships; 3.to provide healthcare and healthcare education4.by such other means as the trustees may decide

The Activities advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of the performing arts, including the provision of theatrical workshops, public events and performances, particularly for the benefit of elderly people living in care and with dementia. Activities offer cognitive stimulation to beneficiaries in care and raise awareness of dementia to the public at large.

To advance the knowledge of the public on historic and current railway operations via the publication of a monthly magazine, its website, library/archive centre, photographic collection and the publishing of informative railway books on all railway aspects. To organise localised meetings covering presentations of railway related subjects and visits to railway establishments.

European ArtEast Foundation is dedicated to supporting visual art from Eastern Europe through international projects - including exhibitions, research and publications - in collaboration with art institutions and organisations.

Theatre management and production

The activity of the charity is to advance the Islamic faith in Enfield and surrounding areas for the benefit of the public in particular but not exclusively through the holding of prayer meetings, services of worship, religious instruction, lectures and public celebration of religious festivals in accordance with the tenets, philosophy, ideology and traditions of Islam;

Musical education and orchestral training

Raises money from investments, Liverymen donations and fundraising events to make donations to charities primarily connected with the City of London, to support bursaries at the GSMD, the RSN and the St Paul's Cathedral Chorister Trust and to provide prizes at City of London schools, the Royal Ballet School and prizes for jewellery making under the aegis of the GCDC.

The running of a Museum and library for the benefit of the local community and tourists to the area

The object of the charity is to promote the advancement of general education in relation to all aspects of the art of drama and the development of public appreciation of such art, including but not limited to: (1) promoting skills relating to acting, playwriting, set construction and stagecraft;(2) producing public performances of dramatic works of art; and(3) supporting a youth theatre

Our aim is to provide support and companionship for the independent senior citizens of Cookham and the surrounding areas. We are a Day Centre where members come to share the company of others in a happy, fun and safe environment, to have a cooked lunch and to have the opportunity to enjoy stimulating physical and mental activities and be entertained by musicians and other live artists.

In line with its educational objectives, the company organises the annual Wells Festival of Literature at which leading writers give inspirational, challenging lectures to audiences of all ages and tastes. The Company also funds workshops for young people to interact with inspirational authors. The company is also instrumental in promoting Beanstalk, a national literacy project, in the South West.

The object of the CIO is:To advance and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, opera, music theatre and the performing arts, in particular but not exclusively by the creation and presentation of opera and theatre productions and the provision of accompanying participatory workshops and training opportunities.

We run participatory music sessions and projects for older, isolated and vulnerable people in care and community settings across York. We also run a large programme of intergenerational events and activities, which bring together beneficiaries with local school-children and students. We provide free transport for anyone who needs it and are supported by a team of dedicated volunteers.

An Associate Company of The Junction in Cambridge, we are an accessible organisation, promoting, developing and challenging new writing for the theatre in our region and beyond.Our approach to making theatre is based on partnerships. We are influential in regional and national networks that support and create the conditions in which to develop high quality professional work.

The advancement of the Christian Faith and to relieve suffering. This has included running Childrens Activities camps, distributing music and talks recordings and literature, doing musical concerts, and holding other meetings.

We provide musical tuition to people young and not so young free of charge both in the bandroom and in some local junior schools. We currently have around 100 instrumentalists associated with the band from raw beginners to accomplished senior band musicians. Volunteer tutors are not paid for this work. Our five musical ensembles provide a variety of musical performances throughout the year.

The charity advances the Christian faith and ministry for the benefit of the public by developing theological education principally by extension, which is accessible to a very wide range of people and ages through theological training programs, and by the publication of Christian literature and study resources. The charity's ministry is independent, interdenominational and international.
