Arts Charities

Alongside selling Christian books, we run a cafe in which we offer a relaxed welcoming atmosphere where customers can talk together and with our staff and volunteers, some of whom have additional needs. We seek to support the elderly, disabled, vulnerable and homeless. We welcome secondary school pupils for work experience. Profits make grants to children and young peoples' organisations.

The ClearVision Project is a national postal lending library of over 10,000 children's books with the text added in braille so that the books can be shared by print and braille reading children and adults. ClearVision currently lends books to over 600 families, schools, nurseries, colleges, Sensory Support Services and public libraries all over the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Our core purpose is to provide library services to the community of the Upper Afan Valley - lending books, CDs and DVDs, providing newspapers, 5 public computers with wi-fi & internet access, printing and photocopying. We also plan to develop other uses for the building - to turn the library into a Hub for Community - a multi-purpose community facility with a cafe, meeting space and classes.

The charity aims to build confidence and team spirit in individuals and communities through access to creative arts activities particularly music. Eilidh MacLeod Memorial Trust is a charity dedicated to the advancement of music education of children and young people, primarily but not exclusively in rural Scotland.

The Newquay Dramatic Society performs stage productions (amateur dramatics) for the benefit of the people of Cornwall and visitors to Cornwall from other parts of the country. Newquay Dramatic Society also hires its theatre to other performing groups, community groups and acts in order to widen its range of cultural events.

Sandy Hill Arts encourages the public to enjoy the creative arts in Purbeck, especially visual arts and crafts. We will promote participation in the arts through exhibitions of new work, events, performance and education, as well as working with community groups and schools. We want the natural setting of the site to be a new visitor attraction in Purbeck.

The prime object of the foundation is the advancement of education amongst Greek nationals in Great Britain. The trustees have discretion, in pursuit of this objective, to enable both men and women students of Greek nationality to pursue their studies in Great Britain and also the children of Greek nationals resident in Great Britain to receive instruction in the language, history, literature and

The promotion and execution of the annual (September) Abbotskerswell Beer, Food and Music Festival

The University of the Third Age provides activities for retired people over the age of sixty. This includes singing groups, game playing groups (e.g. bridge, scrabble), ukulele groups, photography and discussion groups. There are also meetings for lunches and theatre trips.

Centre for Policy on Ageing aims to raise awareness of issues around ageing, influence development of policies to enable older people to live their lives as they choose & to support good practice. Key activities are research, policy, dissemination of information (library & information resources open to all), publications, events. Key is to advocate what older people themselves want & need.

The activities of the charity comprises the production of the journal 'Third Text' and sponsoring and undertaking educational research in the arts and art history.

REGULAR PUBLIC WORSHIP, JUNIOR CHURCH ACTIVITIES AND CLUB FOR YOUNG PEOPLE. DROP-IN AND LUNCH CLUB FOR MAINLY OLDER ADULTS. CLASSES FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN TO IMPROVE NUMERACY & LITERACY SKILLS.TODDLER GROUP. SUPPORT FOR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING IN LOCAL COMMUNITY, INTERNATIONAL AID, DEVELOPMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECTS.

The activities include regular Sunday services and the activities during the week including Holy Communion, Coffee mornings, toddler groups, youth clubs. Plus baptisms, weddings and funerals. The church has a large suite of buildings which are hired out regularly to St Barnabas Pre-School. Also there are other regular users e.g AA, MenCap and local dance groups plus one off functions.

THE MAIN CHARITABLE ACTIVITY IS TO SUPPORT FINANCIALLY OR OTHERWISE THE PUBLICATION OF THE BURLINGTON MAGAZINE AND ITS ASSOCIATED WEBSITES, PRIMARILY BY RAISING FUNDS AND INVESTING THE SAME FOR THE PURPOSE OF BUILDING AN INVESTMENT FUND TO PROVIDE LONG TERM FINANCIAL SECURITY FOR THE BURLINGTON MAGAZINE; THEREAFTER TO SUPPORT ITS ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES IN THE ART HISTORICAL COMMUNITY HERE & ABROAD

THE PROMOTION OF GOOD PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH AND THE RELIEF OF DEVELOPMENTAL, EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL DIFFICULTIES BY THERAPEUTIC USE OF MUSIC. THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC CONCERNING MUSIC AS A MEANS OF THERAPY. THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT FOR THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF MUSIC THERAPISTS. THE PROMOTION AND PUBLICATION OF RESEARCH CONCERNING THE THERAPEUTIC USE OF MUSIC.

We offer support and advice to Older People and provide the following: A healthy and balance meal for older people 2 days a week Tuesdays and Thursdays. The activities we offer are social, recreational and cultural activities, arts and crafts, games, outings, exercise, short breaks, health checks, forums etc. We also offer telephone support.

The objectives of the company are to educate the public in the dramatic arts and further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts in Yeovil and District.

General Charitable Purposes although the trust has 3 particular areas of interest : young people's education especially music education, heritage railway projects and outdoor and rural pursuits. The trust provides grants to individuals and other charitable organisations and particulary welcomes applications from those based in Devon, especially the Newton Abbott area.

The principal activity of the charity is the publication and sale of Christian literature in the French and Russian languages.This literature has been distributed to many countries through the Charity's representation through French speaking countries in the world. Production of literature in the Russian language is centered in the charity's sister organisation in Minsk, Belarus.

New Virtuosi was established in 2009 with the purpose of nurturing a new generation of young talented violinists. Activities are specifically intended for the ages 10-22

The objects of the charity are to advance education in the field of international law by making grants towards charitable activities connected with scholarship, by the publication and dissemination of academic journals for the benefit of the public and by such other exclusively charitable means as the board shall in their absolute discretion determine.
