Arts Charities

The Trust provides a wide and diverse range of activities for older people in Sawbridgeworth. Activities include quizzes, outings, keep fit, cooked lunches, cinema experience, chiropody, hearing aid support, art, I.T. training, whist, bingo, musical afternoons, poetry goup and the opportunity for social interaction aimed at avoiding isolation and depression among older people.

Minimum 1 show per year plus other social events to raise funds.

For the Parishioners of Shaugh Prior Parish. Provides a recreation Field with 2 Football Pitches with a pavilion for both men's & youth teams using the facilities and cricket can also be played but at present is not being used. Bowling green with associated pavilion and hard tennis courts which are not currently used. A large hall used by local WI, over 60's group, Dancing Club, Panto & Badminton

The establishment of a Mosque to facilitate the holding of prayers, lectures and celebration of religious festivals in Redbridge, Essex; holding of classes teaching the Quran for the Muslim community and National Curriculum subjects by the holding of evening classes for children; and to relieve hardship and poverty by the provision of support, guidance and grants to individuals and organizations.

This includes charities that redistribute materials such as books/computers from the West to where they are needed in Africa

The charity operates a retail outlet in Hyde selling donated clothes, books and bric-a-brac etc.

C4U supports Ukrainian displaced people in the Canterbury District and East Kent. To educate and entertain members of the general public in the Reading and surrounding area through the rehearsal and presentation of two musical productions a year (spring and autumn) at theatres in or near Reading.Each production usually runs for five performances with a total potential audience of just over 2000 for the week.

We provide encouragement and financial support to those actively contributing (or who have in their careers actively contributed) to art and music. We provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships and grants to organisations in fields that fulfil specific criteria. We preserve, catalogue, promote, develop and publish for the public benefit the work of Hans Keller and Milein Cosman.

Shakespeare Link provides developmental workshops and performance at its home base, the flagship Willow Globe theatre, within the local community, and beyond.

We provide the facilities for the whole community. The village hall is available to anybody for hire. Individuals can book the hall for personal use ie weddings, parties etc. Weekly activities include senior citizens meetings, short mat bowls and badminton clubs. The local primary school use the hall for larger functions than the school can cater for, including their Christmas Play.

Supporting other charities through the publishings of Oswald Chambers

The Charity operates open-access choirs and music education opportunities for children and young people from across Warwickshire and nearby regions. The charity supports weekly rehearsals both in and out of school, a schools programme and an annual programme of concerts, workshops, competitions and CPD for teachers.

The Orchestra made up of police officers, police staff and other members of the extended police family each year performs at different venues around the country raising money for a number of different charities. A mini tour of India took place in February 2008. Charity Concerts included Warwick Arts Centre for Fighting Blindness and the annual Proms Concert at Symphony Hall in December.

To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art of the brass band movement, especially at universities. This is done primarily by organising the annual UniBrass Championships, offering support to existing university ensembles, and encouraging the creation of new university bands.

Our activities are open to anybody who speaks the Japanese language and the activities are the following:- 1) Monthly Seminar 2) Maintenance of Japanese Cemetery in Hendon Park3) Health support work for the elderly, the disabled and the vulnerable. 4) Monthly walking group for the elderly 5) Annual Japanese Cultural Festival

Through clear Bible teaching, to promote the Christian faith, encouraging Christians to become active in service of the Church and community. Meeting the spiritual, social and emotional needs of the general public across the UK and in many continents of the world, using radio, satellite, the internet and printed media.Known by many as Back to the Bible Broadcast, UK.

Selling books and clothing to the Bristol community. Acting as an information point of the Muslim community in Bristol as well as the rest of the community.

Income for trips, charity collections, school uniform sales, concerts

We are committed to a commemorative sculpture in memory of the 10th Battalion The Parachute Regiment and their 'best of times during the worst of times' spent in Leicestershire during 1944. We are also committed to raise funds to perpetuate the annual Somerby Commemoration. We also wish to help inform and educate the local (especially young) people of those world changing events.

The principal activities of the charity are the promotion and advancement of public education of the art of drawing and painting. This is achieved through running life classes and workshops, the mounting of an annual open exhibition in London, the award of annual scholarships and the distribution by e-mail of a monthly newsletter that is circulated to Friends and a mailing list of supporters.
