Activities in connection with the education of the public in the appreciation, understanding and enjoyment of the arts, particularly the performance related arts. In particular, SWT carries out community arts projects in schools and the wider local, national and international community often using participatory drama based techniques, puppetry, and manual skill enhancement

Hear Me Out brings people living in immigration detention centres together with professional musicians and people living in the community, to create and perform powerful artistic work, and convey it to new audiences through live and recorded performance, thereby increasing wellbeing and empathy, and helping change attitudes to migrants.

The Village Hall is a facility to be used by the community of Mapplewell and Staincross and surrounding villages. The main activities include health, educational and recreational classes, sport and training events, meetings, conferences and private functions. We also have five offices occupied by local organisations, a library and PLA day nursery. Catering is provided for social & business events.

We do this by uniting the collective strength and voice of writers and all those involved in literary activities across Manchester.

The charity primarily supports music organisations in a variety of ways but concentrates on programmes to develop young artists and to use music to help education and well-being. It also supports a number of specific health and educational programmes. It is a small charity and does not invite speculative applications. The Trustees are pro-active in working with organisations they wish to help.

We aim to increase the health, employability, leisure opportunity and ultimately long term quality of life for the community by providing access to advice, guidance, youth activity, recreation, healthy eating, employment and training.We support people with disabilities, young people, people with literacy and numeracy issues, ex-offenders, lone parents, carers and returners to work.

Theatre, Performing Arts and Education

Restoration and maintenance of heritage LNER carriages for the public to enjoy and travel in on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR). Training volunteers and educating the public in the techniques of heritage railway coach building.Building a library of technical knowledge for sharing with other heritage carriage restorers

To educate the public in the musical and dramatic arts and to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts, in particular by providing training in the skills associated with artistic practice and staging artistic performances, plays, dramas, comedies, operas, operettas and other dramatic and operatic works.

Bensham Grove Community Centre is a Grade II listed building and gardens, conserved by the trustees, of historical significance holding original Georgian and Arts and Crafts features. The Centre is a venue for community activities and groups to meet, it is a venue for Adult learning courses and workshops and it hosts events throughout the year to include the diverse community it serves.

The advancement of the education of the pupils of the School; and the advancement of education in the arts of the general public by the maintenance of an arts theatre. The trust hires its theatre facilities to community organisations and local businesses for the purposes of putting on theatrical shows, musical performances and talks for the general public.

Regular public worship, pastoral work, teaching of Christianity, work in local schools, Christian orientated activities for children and young people, Christian-based nursery school, promoting the whole mission of the Church through groups for e.g. Christian Music and mothers and supporting other Christian charities in the UK and overseas.

Collective Encounters is a small professional arts organisation specialising in theatre as a tool for social change.

The objective of the charity is to advance the education of the public in the art and science of English cathedral music by supporting and furthering the provision of this music by organists, by Durham Cathedral Choir, and by Durham Cathedral Consort of Singers, thus helping to ensure that its tradition is maintained and developed as part of the Cathedral's worship and heritage.

Music24 currently provides music therapy and other music-related activities that benefit health and wellbeing to various groups of people, including but not limited to: people with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, neuro-disabilities and dementia. Our expertise lie within offering community music therapy groups, community choirs, singing cafes and one-to-one music therapy.

Make Some Noise's vision is that the lifes of children and young people in Staffordshire and Stoke - on - Trent will be significantly enhanced by high quality opportunities to make music.
