A Scout Group that works with boys and girls from the age of 6 onwards providing activities that develop the individual.

Part of the International Scouting Movement involving both boys and girls 6 years and older.The purpose of scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

THE VILLAGE HALL IS THE MAIN PUBLIC AMENITY IN THE VILLAGE. IT IS USED EVERY DAY DURING TERM TIME BY THE LOCAL SCHOOL FOR LUNCHES, PHYSICAL TRAINING AND ASSEMBLIES. OTHER REGULAR USERS ARE THE KEEP FIT CLUB, THE BOWLS CLUB, THE JUDO CLUB, THE WI AND THE HISTORY SOCIETY. IT IS ALSO HIRED BY THE CRICKET CLUB AND THE CHURCH. THE HALL IS AVAILABLE FOR HIRE BY LOCAL RESIDENTS AND THOSE WHO LIVE IN THE

Promotion of good citizenship,self-discipline, awareness and consideration of others, through a cohort group and a pre-set practical and theoretical group of activities.

To help young people towards responsible adulthood by encouraging valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct, using a nautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy.

The Group is part of the Scout Organisation, which aims to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential. The Group endeavours to fulfill this aim by providing an enjoyable programme of training and activities based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership.

We raise money by holding both social and fundraising events at our school. The money we raise goes towards classroom and playground equipment. The main items purchased this year were technology for the school. Contributions are also made towards shortfalls on school trips, year 6 leavers bible, literacysupport and arts & crafts for school.

Provides a meeting place for village organisations and groups for various activities. Provides a hall for use of local residents for social activities including weddings and parties.

The object of the Charity is to provide facilities for the inhabitants of Sherborne West End and the neighbourhood that can be used for the advancement of education, social welfare for recreation and leisure time activities.Currently groups regularly using the facilities are Pre-school, WI, Friendship club, Community Church, Brownies, Slimming world, Dance classes, Bowls.

As an independent charity, but part of the national Sea Cadets, we rely on the goodwill of our local community and businesses for financial support. Sea Cadets welcome all donations, which help provide opportunities that help them towards responsible adulthood by encouraging valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct, using a nautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy.

The hall has accommodated a number of organisations on a regular basis (eg. pre-school, judo, WI, Tremletts Social Club) and others on a weekly, monthly or irregular basis. All groups benefit from the use of the hall for leisure and educational purposes. The hall has been maintained to a high standard with further work envisaged in the future. To raise and administer funds from public, private or other sources to enable the Rotary Club of Caterham to carry out charitable projects for the benefit of the International Community, the Local Community, individuals and other bodies to include charitable donations where appropriate.

ORGANISATION OF SOCIAL EVENTS; FACILITATING/MANAGING HIRE OF COMMUNITY CENTRE FOR SOCIAL AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS.
