THE AIM OF THE SEA CADET CORPS IS TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE TOWARDS RESPONSIBLE ADULTHOOD AND TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO REACH THIRE POTENTIAL BY DEVELOPING VALUABLE PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND HIGH STANDARDS OF CONDUCT, USING A NATUTICAL THEME BASED ON THE CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS OF THE ROYAL NAVY. THE SCC IS A NATIONWIDE YOUTH ORGANISATION OPEN TO YOUNG PEOPLE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 10 TO 18.

The objectives of the group are as a unit of the Scout Association. The aim of The Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in acheving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local national and international communities.

To provide a meeting place for clubs, societies, youth organisations and pre school nursery for the people of Norton and surrounding areas.

Nautical youth training for boys and girls aged between 10 yrs and 18 yrs with provision for continuance into adult positions on unit staff & committees. Full training programme based along the lines of Royal Navy customs and adventerous training activities.

To help young people towards responsible adulthood by encouraging valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct using a nautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy.

The promotion of development of young people to achieve their full physical, intellectual, social & spiritual potential, as individuals and responsible members of their communities all in accordance with the objectives of the Scout Association.

We help young people to gain experience and qualifications to help and guide them into responsible adulthood. The activities are mainly, sailing, canoeing, boating, engineering etc all under the supervision of well qualified volunteer instructors. Operations well established locally and have a long history. The unit supports community functions in addition to fund raising to maintain the unit.

Stanney Grange Community Centre is on Stanney Grange housing estate. The Community centre is available for one off and regular community activities run by the community for the community.

We aim to provide a meeting place for the villagers of Stainton and to provide activities for them such as live entertainment, BBQ's, Village show,WI, Tea and Chat, and dominoes. Really we want to give the village a heart.

Conservation of the church building by holding various fundraising events and functions.

We are a multi purpose charity that exists for the benefit of residents of the Edgehill Estate. We run a number of projects on the Estate including; Ofsted registered Childcare, a community cafe and an older people's social club

WF8 Scout Group provide both Educational and Recreational activities with support and guidance to children and young people.

PROVIDE SAFE, CREATIVE, ADVENTUROUS ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES. TEACH SELF RELIANCE, LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND BUILD CONFIDENCE.
