The Aim of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical,intellectual,social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.Through the provision of exciting,adventurous activities with progressive training based on The Scout Promise and Law guided by adult leadership.

Village hall available for hire for local activities and including WI, NADFAS, yoga,pilates, shortmat bowls, horticultural society.

A member of LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL operating to serve the community - primarily in the Sprowston, Hellesdon and Catton areas of Broadland, Norfolk

A scouting group providing provision of activities for 75 young people in and around Ickleford.

Fetes, raffles, sales, BBQs and other simular fundraising ideas to raise money for the school for playground equipment, computors, books and other items to support the school and school clubs.

Provides opportunities for boys and girls aged 6 to 14 years within the general remit of the Scout Association.

- Helps to raise funds to enrich the resources of Hildenborough CEP School;- Fosters close cooperation and communication between the families, school staff and the wider community; and- Engages in activities which support the school and enhance the wider education of the children attending it.

WITHIN THE AIMS OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION, WE AIM TO PROVIDE EXCITING AND ADVENTUROUS ACTIVITIES FOR ALL OUR MEMBERS; YOUNG AND OLDER. WE DO THIS BY PROVIDING A BALANCE SCOUTING PROGRAMME AND ENGAGE ALL OUR MEMBERS IN THE PLANNING AND DECISION PROCESSES.WE ARE PROUD OF OUR COMMUNITY AND ACTIVELY ENGAGE WITH THEM.

Sea Scout Group

Maulden Village Hall is a typical village hall. Activities include indoor bowls, WI meetings, Art Club, village hall quiz,fund raising events etc.Hosts Post Office service two mornings per week.

The Charity provides meeting accommodation for a whole range of local community activities, including social, educational and keep fit activities. It is particularly interested in providing a place for disabled and hard to reach groups to meet. It also provides for local groups to hire the hall at reasonable rates for their own activities.

Scouting

Each week, we give young people in Firswood the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future: skills like teamwork, leadership, resilience and empathy. We believe in preparing young people with skills for life, encouraging our young people to do more, learn more and be more.

The Sea Cadet movement is a national youth charity providing young people from 10 - 18 with life skills of teamwork, self respect and social responsibility. The training programme includes seamanship, boating skills, cookery & IT. Cadets can sail offshore in a Tall Ship or motor vessel.

To involve children from the ages of 6 to 25 years of age in activities to educate and improve their knowledge. By being part of a team or singular activities to involve and teach others.

Provides activities and training in connection with the scouting movement and in compliance with the governing document. Provides premises and equpment to enhance activities. Facilitates scout, cub and beaver sections.

Runcorn Sea Cadets are based in Runcorn Cheshire. Our aim is to develop young people aged 10-18 years by instruction in a variety of life skills and other related Sea Cadet activities.Activities associated with the sea cadets include expedition training, communications. seamanship and cooks steward all of which gain points for the cadet to advance to offficer status.

To promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellecutal, social and spiritual potential by using the traditional scouting activities of camping, hiking, canoeing, first aid etc. With a special emphasis on air activities and flying.

Shefford Scouts is part of the UK Scout Association. We currently run Beavers, Cubs, Scout and Explorer sections.

Provides scouting activities for both boys and girls aged from eight to fifteen years.

Activities currently taking place at the village hall are:- nursery, table tennis club, song circle, dance, yoga, Pilates, Little Folk, Brownies, social events, parties. Committees and parish council meetings, Post Office

Supporting the Scout Group

The community centre is hired out - private parties and social activities, including exercise classes, tai chi groups, slimming world, brownies, archery. slow theatre, line dancing, keep fit, art groups, meeting place for over 60's and is also used as a polling station during elections.
