The society's objectives are to stimulate public interest in the beauty, history and character of the town of Lewes and its surrounding area; to organise concerted action for protecting and enhancing the townscape of Lewes and the architectural, visual and historic interest of Lewes and the surrounding area and for preserving free access to the latter; and to co-operate with kindred societies. It

To offer all members of the community opportunities to undertake a range of sporting and social activities (Open Access, Dance Football, Martial Arts, Creative groups ie jewellery,cardmaking and many more) which encourage healthier lifestyles, developing new skills and working toward employment. We offer appropriate activities to all members and encourage full participation.

We provide opportunities for both girls and boys to become Beavers,Cubs and Scouts.To learn new skills and gain experiences within the Scouting Movement through games and activities.

As all Scout Groups do, our Scouts do a very varied range of activities indoor and outdoor (Sponsored Matchbox fill to Rock climbing) for their own benefit and for other peoples benefit. Having fun and raising money or goods, for other good causes worldwide.

To advance the education of women in all areas for the public benefit. There are groups for craft, walking, keep fit, table tennis, art and scrabble. There are monthly meetings with speakers. Various social/educational occasions are held. Women are encouraged to help in the running of their organisation thus gaining in confidence and organisational skills.

PROVISION OF CHARITABLE FUNDING FOR WORTHY LOCAL NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CAUSES

The charity runs the local Memorial Hall which consists of a large main hall plus a meeting room. Main users/activities are:a)Village-run societies: toddlers, over 60s, WI, history, Craft and angling societiesb)Commercial Users: ballet, ballroom dance, fitness groups including yoga, zumba, pilates, karate, others requiring a meeting room

The 1st Timperley Scout Group provides premises and equipment to facilitate scouting activities. It is a member of The Scout Association providing adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-25. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential.

Scouting

We are a youth organization for children between to ages of 10 and 18. We are a unit in the Sea Cadets and follow the Sea Cadet rules and regulations. Our actives include canoing, sailing, pulling (rowing), drill, camping, swimming, entering competitions for those actives mentioned and many other things.

To hold funds raised by members of the Rotary Club of Beckenham, and to apply those funds for charitable purposes.

Fundraising activities in (order of size) include: -Fireworks event in November.Summer term event.Christmas Fayre in December.Several discos throughout the school year.Refreshment sales and raffles at school productionsCake sales.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learnmore and be more. Each week, the 2nd Poynton Scout Group gives the young people of Poynton the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

The charity does camping, orienteering, visit local services, computing, cookery, first aid training and swimming.

WE PROVIDE A RURAL YOUTH CLUB FOR YOUNG PEOPLE BETWEEN 10 AND 30, OFFERING SPORTS, EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES TO BENEFIT OUR MEMBERS.

The aims and objectives of the club are to comply with the overall objectives as defined in the 2011 Charities act. We aim to help Local, National and International charities for the advancement of all who are affected.We also aim to support communities that we consider beneficial to the community as defined in the act.

The charity exists to promote scouting and the larger youth movement in the world. The main activity is scouting.

PROVIDES OUT OF SCHOOL ACTIVITES FOR 6YR OLDS - 14 YR OLDS BOYS AND GIRLS WITHIN THE SCOUTING MOVEMENT

Fund repair and maintenance of St. John The Baptist Church, Capel .

Dancing, Karate,Children's Playgroup, Crossroads Carers Trust, Flower shows, Fashion Shows, Private Party's & Celebrations, Meetings & Card Club. Based in Toton but used by people from surrounding area.

The Group is run as a unit of the Scout Association

We are a long running member of the Scout Association in the South East District of Leicester. As part of the Scout Movement we aim to help young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as Members of their local, national and international communities, providing fun and adventure through our progressive training.
