Provision of premises and activities for Guiding purposes

The purpose of scouting is to promote the development of young people (girls & boys) in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

Engaging young people in positive activities, ie: camping

Scout Group providing scouting to young people in Squirrels/Beaver /Cub /Scout sections with an affiliated Explorer Scout Unit

The aim of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. This is done by providing a scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult leadership.

We financially support the NHS run Whitworth Hospital (Community Hospital) and Orchard Cottage (Short Break Residential Unit for people with Learning Disability), both in Darley Dale, Matlock, Derbyshire. Items of equipment and larger projects such as car parking and departmental refurbishments over and above those supplied by the NHS are funded by us through legacies and donations received.

The Group have 1 Beavers section, 1 Cub Scout section & 1 Scout section.In summary the aim of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people's physical, intellectual, social & spiritual potentials.This is achieved by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult leadership.

Operates and maintains the community centre building and grounds enabling playgroup for infants and children, dance classes, sport and recreation clubs for special interest groups and a club for the elderly. Used for childrens parties, local elections.

Plumpton Scout Group have 12 beavers and 22 scouts 10 cubs, however Training takes place over the winter and summer months ie camping skills, survival hikes, swimming, potholing, knots-lashing, DIY skills.

Young people are encouraged to try new experiences and develop their current interests through activities.

Provides indoor and outdoor educational and recreational activities for young persons working through the Scout Association training programme and the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. Also provides occasional accommodation for local amenity groups.

PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING WORKSHOPS AND ARRANGES SPORTS ACITIVIES FOR MEMBERS. ALSO TAKES PART IN SEVERAL CAMPAIGNS RUN BY THE NATIONAL FEDERATION OF WOMEN'S INSTITUTES.

The object of the League is to support the charitable work of the Clevedon Hospital. The Charity supplements the service provided by the hospital for the health, welfare and comfort of the patients therein and in the community, by the provision of facilities, building and equipment which may be required for the treatment of patients, or for the efficient running of the hospital.

To support poor students, mainly children of new immigrents to Israel.

Fundraising and organisation of social events to purchase additional resources and fund additional opportunities for the school's children to support their education and to build and improve positive relationships between the school and parents and carers of those attending it.
