WE CARRY OUT MONTHLY MEETINGS TO INFORM OUR MEMBERS OF ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE TO THEM

To advance the Christian religion in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing by the care, maintenance and preservation of the fabric, fittings, ornaments and furnishings of the Church of St Endellion, North Cornwall.

The Charles Willis Hall is a valuable community venue for our many village activities, available for hire for private functions as well as community and fundraising events. We welcome parties, suppers, evening classes, music groups, lectures, workshops and all manner of functions. We provide a focal point that enhances village life and facilitates fundraising for local projects and charities.

Scouting activities

Operation of a Scout Group with all four Sections operational situated in Mitcham in Surrey

A uniformed youth organisation for young people aged between 10 and 18. The object is to promote discipline and self respect amongst its members through various nautical activitieswith some training based on the traditions of the Royal Navy.

Funds are used to enhance the education and resources on offer at school.

Provision of Scouting activities for the young people of Colehill and surrounding areas

General charitable purposes under the umbrella of Rotary International of Britain & Ireland.

The objects of the Society are the preservation, repair and maintenance of the fabric and curtilage of the Parish Church of S. Nicholas and the Village Hall in the Parish of Silton, Dorset, its organ and bells, and providing such furnishings furniture fittings and structures both interior, exterior and in the curtilage as may be considered appropriate by the Committee of the Society

Scout group activities include: camps & trips, various activities at HQ: arts & crafts, physical activity, social guidance, towards obtaining badges for various levels of scouting fundraising also undertake for other charities.

The charity provides and maintains a meeting place for the community. It hires out the Hall for meetings including Parish Council, Guides and Brownies, Toddlers, Parish Council, Yoga, Table Tennis as well as fund raising activities.

Provision of scouting activities

Sponsoring and managing events, arranging collections and receiving donations for fund raising. Making donations in cash or kind, activities for disadvantaged young and old people, educational events for young people of all abilities, educational links with overseas students, helping to sponsor international aid projects where needed. Managing 4 'in-house' trusts.

Fundraising to be distributed to Rotary supported charities

The objects of the charity are the promotion and advancement of the Roman Catholic religion by supporting the Pope through the dissemination of the teachings of the Church and the establishment and maintenance of a fund, the income and capital of which are to be applied to assist in defraying the expenses of the Pope in furthering his apostolic ministry.

Provision of facilities for community use - meeting place for Societies and W.I. etc. Available for hire by local groups such as classes for local residents, exercise, drama, history, music.

SOCIAL AND RAISING FUNDS FOR CHARITIES

Support and encourage local clubs, fund raise to subsidise local events and maintain the village hall, organise local events.

Support the school

To promote and assist the general good of all people residing in Thornhill Lees regardless of race or creed by providing facilities for education, physical and mental recreation and pursuing any activities which are deemed by law to be charitable.

A free advice service using a qualified advice worker from a third party supplier, versed in the rules and regulations covering welfare benefits who advises people on entitlements and if necessary helps process claims. He/she also advises on debt issues. An appointment system is used and the service is available 1 morning per week in Shirehampton.
