Associations Charities

The aim is to promote the development of young people in acheiving their physical, intellectual and social potential as indivduals and responsible citizens in a safe environment. In order to acheive this the Unit takes young people from all backgrounds, including where possible those with disabilities and develops their skills.

We provide the facilities for the over 60s Club, Badminton, Judo for all ages. Brownies, Guides. British Legion, Womens Institute, Lademaking, Weight Watches, Yoga, Keep fit, Tea Dances, Pilates, Art, Line Dances, Embroidery, Short Mat Bowls, Extend

Raising money to help: A. Children and young people B. Elderly and old people C. People with disabliity or Special Needs and D. Other charities and voluntary bodies

Fundraising events to raise money for the school such as discos and social events for children, xmas fayres and summer fete/bbq and raffles throughout the year.

It seeks to give to women the opportunity of working through the Women's Institute organisation and of putting into practice those ideals for which it stands.

Provision of Scouting for boys and girls in Amberley; comprising Beavers, Cubs and Scouts

Meeting venue & community centre, activities include - lindal pre school, St Peters Church rainbows & brownies, badminton, keep fit, dog training, parties, annual gala, senior citizen xmas party.

Relief of the poor and needy, support of educational and sporting activities, support of medical research, worldwide.

Scouting

The Charity's activities are made up of a Squirrel Drey, Beaver Colony, Cub Pack, Scout Troop and an Explorer Scout Unit.

Provision of education and activities for women, providing opportunities for women to develop new skills, friendship and to achieve their full potential.

Harvington Village Hall is a facility which provides space for members of the community to come together to learn, share experiences and be entertained. Regular users of the Village Hall include a Nursery &Preschool; Yoga & similar exercise groups; an Amateur Dramatic Society; Rainbows and Girlguiding Groups; Phoenix Ladies Group; St. James Church events; Singing group; First school PTFA.

Provision of Headquarters facilities and equipment for the use of Norbury Scout and Guide groups in Hazel Grove

In line with the general aims of the Sea Cadet Corps, Ruislip Sea Cadets aim to provide the opportunity to young people to participate in a range of activities based on a nautical theme. Youngsters have a chance to participate in team activities and to skill themselves in water-borne proficiencies, while learning the importance of discipline, self presentation and caring for others.

Education and Social Activities

Friends of Victoria exists to support the pupils of Victoria School and Specialist Arts College, to promote their welfare and to raise funds to enhance their education.
