FUNDRAISING FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES

SUPPORTING FRINGFORD PRIMARY SCHOOL

Operating a scout group for young people between the ages of 6 and 17 through beavers, cubs, scouts and explorer scouts for the Herne Bay area. We are based in Greenhill, Herne Bay and operate as one of a number of groups in the Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay (can, whit, bay) district scouts.

Providing sporting activities and competition for children with special needs.

Uniformed youth organization based on the Ethos & Traditions of the Royal Navy - Part of the Nationwide organization of the MS-SC.

Assisting elderly, handicapped children and the elderly. Financial assistance to elderly and handicapped if we have spare charitable funds.

Church Village Hall used for Church and Village Community Activities

Providing scouting activities & headquarters premises etc. for Beaver Scouts age 6/7 years, Cub Scouts age 8 to 10 1/2 years, Scouts age 10 1/2 years to 14 years & Explorer Scouts age 14 to 18 years. The Scout Group is run according to the aims and objectives of the Scout Association and within the general guidelines of the Scouting movement.

Receive charitable donations from local, national and international individuals and organisations for the help and relief of hardship and suffering.Particular help is given to local schools and young people including sporting, literary and culinary achievement.

We support charitable activities run by the National Federation of Womens Institutes

Provide a building for all community activities

To do anything charitable and lawful to relieve and support the wellbeing of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill health, disability or other disadvantage people living in the Parish of Markfield and surrounding rural areas without discrimination. It includes both financially or otherwise any Charity led, any affiliated groups or other charitable or community activities with similar objects.

Advances the education of women and girls in important local and national political and social issues, music, drama and other cultural subjects, agriculture, crafts, home economics, science, health and social welfare; promotes sustainable development; advances health and advances citizenship by promoting civic responsibility and volunteering.

The Scout Group has Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer Units. The Aim of the association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local national and international communities by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training based on the Scout Promise and Law.

The main purposes of the Women's Institute area: To advance the education of women and girls; to promote sustainable development for the public benefit; to advance health for the public benefit and, to advance citizenship for the public benefit by the promotion of civic responsibility and volunteering.

Worldwide scouting activities, camping, travel etc.

Develop links between staff, parents and others connected with the school.Engage in activities that support the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it.

Scout Group providing a range of activities to boys/girls age 6 to 14 to include learning skills such as orienteering, outdoor cooking, camping, hiking/map reading and various creative arts & craft, both individually and within a team.

HOLD MEETINGS WITH SPEAKERS ONCE A MONTH.FUND RAISING COFFEE MORNINGS OR THEMED ACTIVITIES TWO OR THREE TIMES A YEAR

To support the provision of community buildings, with a nautical theme within Milford Haven and for a wider community benefit. We work closely and have a strong partnership with Milford Haven Sea Cadets .

THE CHARITY'S MAIN ACTIVITIES CONSIST OF SUMMER, EASTER AND CHRISTMAS FAYRES, REFRESHMENT EVENTS, SELLING CHILDREN'S ART ITEMS, ETC AIMED AT RAISING FUNDS IN SUPPORT OF ST MARY'S PRIMARY SCHOOL IN FOWNHOPE AND ENCOURAGING A POSITIVE SCHOOL COMMUNITY AND SCHOOL BONDING.
