Community Association who manage community centre for the benefit of residents in the Overpool and surrounding areas.community rooms are available for hire.

General Scouting Activities

Organises events within the area of operation with the intention of raising funds to be used for local and Rotary Charities. Donations are made to Organisations and Individuals with approval granted by the Council of the Rotary Club of Chepstow at its monthly meetings. Individual members of the Club from time to time give freely of their time to assist with local community projects and concerns.

Charity manages the community hall which is available for hire by the general public

the provision of relief for the benefit of distressed Brother Masons their widows and children or to or for the benefit of such masonic charities or other charitable institutions societies and objects as the Lodge shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.

Various: christmas and summer fairs, refreshment sales, children's disco, raffle, various sponsored events.

The objects of the charity are to make a difference to the lives of the young people in the Scout Group, as laid down by the Scout Association , by training and education.

Horsel Afternoon WI is interested in local issues, members support the Surrey Federation by attending events and classes. Members enjoy activities such as scrabble, knitting and theatre-going.

Women's Institute

This charity makes grants to voluntary bodies and organisations, mainly connected with Up Nately, and provides for maintenance of the buildings and property of the church of St Stephens in Up Nately.

To provide activities on and off site and to fund additional equipment for all children.

The WI is a diverse and multifaceted organisation, which helps women to expand their horizons and make new friends, take up new interests, learn new crafts and develop new skills.We offer all kinds of opportunities to all kinds of women.

WE FUND RAISE FOR KIRKBY AND GREAT BROUGHTON SCHOOL TO HELP PROVIDE THE SCHOOL AND THE CHILDREN WITH RESOURCES, FACILTIES AND ACTIVITIES.

Flint & District Lions Club carries out fundraising and service activities mainly in Flintshire but assists other local charities, self help groups and individuals. In addition the Lions Club supports the activities of Lions International both locally, nationally and internationally; however the main emphasis of the Flint Lions Club is support for the local community.

The aim of FOSS is to raise funds to help the school pay for items that they might not be able to afford otherwise and to do this by organising fun activities for the children and their families.

Scouting, Scout Band Activities

To promote the benefits of the inhabitants of Dan y Coed and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex,religion, or other opinions by associating with local authorities,voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to promote facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupations.

Educational and training

Raffles, Fayres, Community Events, School Discos, Bingo and Craft Afternoons, to raise funds for the school and associated educational outings/events.

Each month we have talks on subjects of interest often with demonstrations. Several times a years the committee organise trips for the members to go on. We try to support the comunity by attending local fetes and by helping the local school after hours clubs by teaching the children crafts. Many sporting events take place, arranged by the local WI Federation
