Associations Charities

The Rotary Club of St. Albans raises money in the St. Albans area for various charitable purposes locally, nationally and internationally.

The Charity offers women the chance to learn new skills, take part in a range of creative activities and get involved in campaigning

While support is donated to many local charities, such as the food bank, the ladies of the Inner Wheel Club actively enjoy sending shoe boxes abroad. Funds are also raised for overseas charities such as, schools, hospitals, water aid, etc.

We promote the educational enrichment and advancement of pupils at Tadcaster Primary Academy. Funds are raised through events such as school discos, Summer and Christmas Fairs, raffles and pop-up shops. Funds raised are used to purchase additional educational resources and equipment, furnish facilities and provide meaningful experiences and activities for pupils at the school.

We donate to people in need and support other charities.

The charity raises money which is used to support the education of children attending Langham Primary School by buying equipment & subsidising events & activities for the children.

Warboys WI have provided 11 meetings for members. Talks have been on Travel, Food security, Culture & Sport history, Gardening, History and Environmental issues. We continue to hold Craft meetings, Walks and games afternoons. Members have also taken part in the County events throughout this year.

The Friends of Winslow Church of England School raises funds to provide the school with extra resources to support the Children's learning. We also support the school in practical ways by helping out and orgainsing events as well as being a link between the school and the community.

The objects of Inner Wheel are to promote true friendship, to encourage the ideals of personal service and to foster international understanding.

To raise money to support school resources via fund raising activities throughout the year (eg Christmas fair, Summer Fair, Cake sales, Spring Quiz).

To advance the education of the pupils of the school by engaging in activities which support the school and to provide or assist in the provision of such facilities or items for education at school.

Scouting Programme and Activities

The purpose of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. The 12th Dorking (Newdigate) Scout Group consists of Beavers (ages from 6 to 8), Cubs (ages 8 to 10.5) and Scouts (ages 10.5 to 14).
