Women's Institute is founded to assist and educate women and to serve the community in any way which is practical. This includes educating the members about any social and other matters which may be of national importance excluding political affairs.

Durham Division is part of Girl Guiding, which enables girls and young women to develop their potential and to make a difference in the world. Our Rainbow, Brownie, Guides and Senior Section meetings provide a wide range of learning and development opportunities including outdoor challenges, learning new skills, teamwork, international travel and working on community projects.

PART OF NATIONAL ORGANISATION AIMED AT EDUCATING & ENTERTAINING WOMEN FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE. ALSO HAS THE ABILITY TO UNDERTAKE, DISCUSS & IF NECESSARY RAISE RESOLUTIONS FOR GOVERNMENT TO TAKE ACTION. NON POLITICAL - NON-RELIGIOUS.

Education & fellowship.

We fundraise to provide Heighington C of E Primary School with additional equipment.

Provide education for women in country skills to supprt rural life. Support the village community where appropriate.

Sea Scout group encompassing Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts with an emphasis particularly in the Scouting section on marine based activities.

Activites associated with the Women's Institute

Parent Staff Association raising funds to support additional educational activities at Ganton Special School and Student Centre in Hull (for ages 2-19).

Maulden branch of the Women's Institute offers opportunities for all women to enjoy friendship, to learn, to widen their horizons and together to influence national and international affairs. We offer a programme of educational, entertaining and social activities at our meetings held on a regular basis at the local Village Hall, when all are welcomed.

To provide support and relief to Frome Community Hospital and its patients, staff and visitors. To promote the recruitment of voluntary helpers. To support the provision of information and education for local residents and to cooperate with such other bodies in respect of and to support research into health matters. To raise funds and accept gifts to achieve the charity's objectives

Parish Hall - Relgious and social activities

Collection of money through school activities to benefit school & pupils.

Parents and friends of Twineham Primary School - raising funds for the school by organising local events as well as running extra curricular activities for the pupils

Fundraising for local and International Charities

Help with student costs generally for school activities/residentials.

To advance the education of the pupils of the school by providing or assisting in the provision of items, services and facilities not normally provided by the Local Authority.
