Associations Charities

Donations are provided by members of the Ferrum Lodge, the majority of whom reside within 30 miles of Teesside. The Trust Deed provides that the proceeds are remitted to the named central Masonic Charities (defined as Poverty Charities) for their disposal.

Women's Institute

Regular social/educational meetings for women

Provide opportunities for education, art and crafts, assisting with community projects and world wide projects.

Sunday school , dance classes, judo classes, over 50's social club, girl guides, brownies.

We support different recognised charities each year.

Providing a social club for disabled adults and children giving respite for parents and carers.Club nights are every 1st3rd & 5th Tuesday each month we provide arts and crafts,quizes,cooking,games etc.

Full range of Scouting activities

To advance the arts education of young people up to 25 years old residing within Wigan Metropolitan Borough, and particularly in Tyldesley, Atherton and Leigh, by the provision of amenities, facilities, equipment and activities which would not otherwise be provided by the local authority.

To promote investigation and collate information on the Wealden Iron Industry and related activities for the benefit of the public by:publication and historical/archaeological research

Provide companionship & education for women within a social gathering environment.

As a charity we raise funds for ourselves through various community activities e.g. Open Meetings, Skittles Evenings and so forth.

Provide comunity with wide range of interesting talks, demonstrations, entertainment and education. Participates with NFWI on national and international issues with reference to women.

We take part in friendly discussions, often of national concern, make new friends, discover new and improve old interests. Campaign on national issues, support local hospices and local charities

We give support to individuals and organisations both locally and internationally.

Working in local communities and raising money for local charities

To maintain, preserve, improve, restore, renovate and repair the structural fabric of the Church of St Peter and Paul, Steeple Morden, and to advance the education of the public in the history of the said church.

The Charity carries out fundraising activities for Tilney All Saints VC Primary School, including school fairs, discos and social events. Practical assistance is provided to the school at the request of the headteacher and staff. The charity also provides a social framework within which parents, staff and Friends of the school may meet.

Basingstoke WI activities are as follows: Monthly meetings with a speaker or activity and time to socialize. Organised work shops and outings and regular members' groups, trips, walks and demonstrations in connection with craft, education, training, sport and culture and attendance at County and National WI events. Welfare for WI members.

Provide social clubs, luncheon clubs, social events for senior citizens welfare gifts for housebound and over90's.

The WI movement provides education for women to expand horizons and develop and pass on skill learnt, and to play an effective role in their own, community and beyond.
