Provision of a centre for general village activities:- Childrens parties. Meetings of Parish Council.Meetings of Church Council. Play Group activites. and meetings. Organising Village sports day, and Duck Race day : Organising, and Venue for The Annual Village Show etc.

1. To promote, improve and advance public education and knowledge of the development of railways associated with Robert Stephenson, his Companies, Partnerships, and other interests in the City of Newcastle upon Tyne.2. To preserve for Newcastle upon Tyne and the nation, historical and architectural buildings and associated artefacts concerned with the development of railways.

To promote the education of the children at Baltonsborough School through additional funds which are not provided by the Government.

TO PROMOTE INTEREST IN WHITBY ABBEY IN PARTICULAR WITH REGARD TO ITS HISTORY AND ITS PRESENT USE AS A TOURIST ATTRACTION

As part of the larger WI movement,we aim to enable women interested in rural life, including arts,crafts and sciences to improve and develop conditions of rural life, to advance our education in citizenship, in public questions both national and international. We seek to give women the opportuniy of working together to put these ideals into practice.

Girlguiding enables girls and young women fulfil their potential to take an active and responsible role in society through a programme of activities led by trained volunteer leaders.
