Scouting activities for young people from 6 years to 15 years.

Three full length plays are performed each year at Daneside Theatre, Park Road, Congleton, Cheshire. Every two years a one act playwriting competition is organised which culminates in a one act play festival. Social activities also take place, including visits to performances at other theatres.

In the interests of social welfare to provide facilities for recreation, education or other community activities for the purposes of improving conditions of life of the residents within the Parish of Yatton Keynell and the local area

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Alwoodley by providing facilities for social welfare and recreation currently including Art, Badminton, Carpet Bowls, Chess, Football, Junior Chess, Lace & Craft, Sinfonia, Singers, Social Club, Table Tennis, Tennis.Affiliated Groups - Scouts & Guides, Townswomen's Guild

Providing Scouting activities for children aged 6-8 - Beavers; for children 8-11 - Cubs; for children ages 11 -14 - Scouts; and older children 14-18 Explorer Scouts. These activities can be water based - e.g swimming and canoeing: camping - a number of times during the year for most age groups. There are also the weekly meetings where the leaders organise indoor and outdoor activities.

Cheltenham District Scouts are part of the Scout Association which exists by authority of a Royal Charter, granted by King George V in 1912 and further Charters by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II.The Cheltenham District Scout Association works within the Policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scouts Association to deliver adventure, development of and community work for and by Young People.

The object of the charity is to provide grants to and/or for the benefit of people with learning disabilities formerly living in Normansfield and for others living in the borough of Richmond Upon Thames or having strong connections with the borough.

We are a Scout Group that runs one Beaver Group two Cubs Groups and a Scout Group. We cater for children between the ages of 6 and 15.

Scouting

Activities run for the benefit of the local community. Facilities available to hire for use by community groups, e.g. Pre-school, uniform groups, performing arts groups, WI, Dance groups(children and adult). Rooms available for hire by individuals for parties/charity events etc.

Scouting for all age ranges 5 to 18.

VILLAGE HALL INCLUDING 1 LARGE HALL AND 1 SMALLER HALL WHICH CAN BE PARTITIONED AS 2 SMALLER ROOMS. WEST BERGHOLT SOCIAL CLUB HOLD A PREMISES LICENCE TO USE HALF OF THE BUILDING ON EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS, THE SOCIAL CLUB ROOM IS ALSO AVAILABLE TO HIRE DURING THE DAY FROM THE TRUST. THE HALLS ARE LET TO LOCAL AND NON LOCAL RESIDENTS FOR FUNCTIONS, CLUBS, PLAY GROUP ETC.

Fundraising benefitting the community, pupils and the school.

Fundraising locally to support local charities and persons in need and to support charities linked to Rotary International

We provide training and growth to young people in the age ranges of 6 to 18 in accordance with the Scout Associations regulations

The charities and good causes supported from the fund remain largely in the local community with considerable emphasis on children with special needs, local schools projects and the disabled. International aid and response to emergency appeals continue to be supported when they arise.

To relieve patients and former patients of The Victoria Memorial Hospital Welshpool who are sick convalescent disabled handicapped infirm or in need of financial assistance and generally to support the charitable work of the said hospital

To help young people enjoy new adventures, to experience the outdoors, interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Promote the development of young people to achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, responsible citizens, and members of their local, national and international communities.

Provide rooms for hire for a wide range of community activities

Scouting including - beavers, cubs, scouts and explorer scouts.

Scouting for boys and girls under the direction of the Scout Association

The provision of a local public venue for the arts of plays, music and the performance of productions by our own amateur groups.

Carpet Bowling, Bingo, Parties, Social Club and Hire of Hall to various groups e.g. Sure Start, Zumba, Pilates, Drama Groups, Baby and Toddler Groups.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the 1st Bishop's Waltham Scout Group gives young people in the Bishops Waltham area the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.
