Associations Charities

The main function of the West Maldon Community Association is the management of the Community Centre. We try to provide a first class centre at reasonable prices, for the people of West Maldon. Most of our funds come from the hire of the centre and we also run bi-monthly quiz nights and other fund raising social events. Most of our profits are used to maintain and improve the facilities.

The Black Elders Day Centre operates within the County of Gloucestershire and delivers Day Care to African Caribbean Elders, (but not exclusively) aged 50 and over. Specially to the frail, elderly and disabled by providing day care services twice weekly - Personal care, cooked lunch, social activity and mental stimulation, day trips and outings, adult education and health improvement activities.

The purpose of scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national, and international communities.

Provide camping facilities for youth organisations

To apply the income, and at the discretion of the trustees, the capital to support Healthcare work in Ledbury and District by :a) The relief of patients who are sick,convalescent,disabled,handicapped, infirm or in need of financial assistanceb)The relief of sickness in the locality by promoting the efficient performance of their duties by Healthcare workers

The objectives of the Scout Group are as a unit of the Scout Association. The aim of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

Scouting activities in the County of Hertfordshire

Our charity provides social activities, respite assistance and information and help with everyday problems for our members with learning disabilities. We have a weekly social club for all members in the area from aged 18 upwards. We also operate a weekly allotment group and a 15-25 weekly activity group.

The Sea Cadet Corps is a nationwide voluntary uniformed youth organisation, open to all young people aged 12 to 18, Marine Cadets for young people aged 13 to 18 and with Junior Sections open to those of 10 to 12 years of age.The remit of the Sea Cadets is to provide fun, friendship, adventure and learning new skills based on waterborne and land based activities.

To help young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as Members of their local, national and international communities.

A relaxed and friendly group, meeting several times a month, for outings; lunches; coffee mornings; with excellent speakers. Discussions on local and global topics, along with activities organised by County and National Federations are also well supported. The upkeep of our beautifully equipped Hall is helped by bookings from local groups

Scouting

We offer various activities for children from 4 years to 18 years old - Both Boys and Girls are members of our Scout Group Within the rules laid down by the Scout Association

Activities include all aspects of Scouting and Guiding for children between 5- 18 and encourages and ensures that they all work and help in the local community.

The object of the parents association is to advance the education of pupils of the school.We supply additional items for the school where appropriate which will enrich the pupils educational experience.

The club organises fund raising events to generate finances to support charities and participates in charitable activities.

Lytham Rotary Club raises money locally and supports local community projects, local youth groups and also some International operations, mainly recommended by the cental Rotary Organisation, RIBI.
