Performing arts

Providing support and resettlement to vulnerable men recovering from addiction, whose lives often include offending and/or homelessness. Our 12 week programme offers a framework to rebuild their lives and move on through our houses to live independently without addiction.

SSF transforms lives through the unique power of Shakespeare. Our activities help thousands of young people to improve literacy and develop life skills of empathy, confidence and teamwork.We produce an annual UK-wide youth drama festival at local, professional theatres, providing 6 months' support to teachers and casts. Additional curriculum resources and workshops further increase our reach.

National family Mediation (NFM) offers high quality family mediation and support services to all families affected by relationship breakdown, divorce or separation in England and Wales. Mediators help families reach joint decisions about all the issues associated with divorce and separation. NFM provides services in over 500 locations across England and Wales.

Promoting and supporting the development of youth work in the North East

To promote, develop and support community participation in healthy recreation by providing or assisting in the provision of facilities for the playing of the game of association football and other such sports or physical activities which improve fitness and health; to advance education; and to relieve people with disabilities, learning difficulties or ill-health.

Providing support for charitable initiatives through grants and use of facilities at Royal Porcelain Works Worcester, which is owned by the trust. Working with organisations involved with, but not limited to the Arts, Music, Education and Wellbeing of Children and young People. The trustees meet twice a year to discuss and agree awards although a fast track process for small grants exists.

The charity runs the Rio Cinema - an independent cinema with a unique policy of community access and local involvement. The cinema presents a mix of main feature films, programmes for children and the elderly, rep shows, special events and festivals. The Rio also conducts a wide range of educational initiatives for children and young people.
