Dementia Active is a charity with an established track record in providing social activity groups for people who have a diagnosis of dementia. Dementia is an illness which can isolate people from former friends. The value of spending time with others who can share this sense of isolation cannot be overestimated.

Low cost counselling services to the local community

Our vision is that all people in Harrogate District have the best mental health they can and that no one should have to face mental health issues alone. We provide a range of community based mental health support from The Acorn Centre in Harrogate and also at outreach locations across the wider Harrogate District.

The prinicipal objective is to maintain, without profit, a centre where any person in need can, if necessary free of cost, obtain professional counselling with personal problems of all kinds.

ADHAR is a pro-active charity providing support and case management to a number of BME people in Leicestershire and runs several groups that meet regularly to provide a range of leisure educational and therapeutic interventions. We work actively to promote independence and social inclusion. The focus is on empowering service users by providing advocacy counselling-CBT, information and recovery.

The promotion, provision, maintenance and improvement of renal units in hospitals, schools of medicine and universities; by the provision therein or in connection therewith of equipment, laboratories, facilities or personnel whatsoever calculated to relieve such persons and by the promotion of medical research into renal and other diseases.

We are a charity for blind and visually impaired adults in North Tyneside. We have a Day centre where people can socialise in a safe, friendly environment. Activities are held for both physical and mental stimulation. We also have 12 residential flats for independent living. We own a property to further our mission of reaching more blind and visually impaired adults this is called Iris.

GoMAD is set up to provide volunteers with the opportunity to make a difference in a rural community in Northern Tanzania, specifically the Diocese of Mara. Sheffield Women's Counselling and Therapy Service (also known as Saffron) is a women-only organisation which provides psychotherapy/ counselling for women. Saffron is currently funded to offer psychotherapy to women over the age of 16 who have experienced some form of trauma, such as abuse (physical, emotional and/or sexual), harassment or neglect.

The Vine Centre offers personalised support to its beneficiaries which include specialist mental health, anger management and addiction as well as support for general well being, budgeting, housing and benefits. We offer training opportunities, help to find employment and online IT courses. Our offer includes numeracy and literacy support, groups to stop social isolation and art therapy.

DEAF ACTIVE EXISTS TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE THE LIVES OF DEAF AND HEARING CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND ADULTS IN MERSEYSIDE. WE PROVIDE AWARENESS RAISING SESSIONS, SIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING, INLUSIVE PLAY PROVISION, AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS, YOUTH CLUBS, RESIDENTIAL BREAKS AND YOUTH EXCHANGES. WE PROVIDE FITNESS AND WELLBEING CLASSES, PERSONAL TRAINERS AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES TO DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE.

LITE Ltd is a specialist apprenticeship training provider in the animal care sector. We train young people and adults aspiring to careers in veterinary nursing animal care.

The trust supports a few carefully selected local, regional and small national healthcare and disability charities for older people in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes and adjacent counties, especially charities which promote health and wellbeing through information, advice and practical help like developing or providing special needs technology.

The charity's objectives are to support and advance medical research and community facilities. A core interest of the charity is to facilitate the progression of cancer research and care. The latter objective refers to the charity's interest in the improvement of community facilities to ensure inclusivity for all members of society.

Sight Concern Bedfordshire's aim is to enhance the independence of blind and partially sighted people living within Luton and Bedfordshire. To reach out to the whole community to raise awareness about visual impairment and to ensure that everyone who requires information, and or, assistance receives it.

Working directly with young people, schools, professionals & the community, provide evidence-based educational resources/programmes, & advice about substance misuse to:-promote healthy, informed choices for young people;-empower young people with knowledge, life skills & confidence; -educate young people through partnership initiatives with national & local agencies.
