It drives/promotes excellence in small animal veterinary practice through focusing on education, science and the community to develop the knowledge and skills of its members. PetSavers, its research arm, funds veterinary clinical studies into diseases of pets and the treatment thereof

To provide advice, education and high quality and innovative therapeutic support to problem gamblers and those affected by problem gambling, through residential, online and outreach services. The charity offers a unique and intensive residential treatment programme in the UK for those gamblers most severely addicted as well as online support and advice to problem gamblers outside Great Britain.

To provide permanent or respite accommodation, end-of-life care and outpatient care for former members of the British Armed Forces and their families, who are in need of such care by reason of age, sickness or disability and who require nursing care or rehabilitation.

This can mean helping them to find or keep a job, deal with housing issues, helping them to go on holiday, providing sports clubs for visually impaired children, and other services for visually impaired children and their families or providing vital information in the heart of communities.

The promotion of positive mental health and support in recovery from mental or emotional distress by meeting the needs of the individuals, enabling them to make informed choices and take control of their lives.

This involves in-patients, out-patient clinics, wellbeing center, hospice at home, specialist palliative community and neurology nurses, lymphoedema, complementary therapy, bereavement support, out of hours support and education and training of other healthcare professionals.

The provision of almshouse accommodation for people resident in Bath and the surrounding area who are over 65 years of age and who are in financial need as well as providing grants and financial support to individuals and organisations within the Bath area for those in need.

Advancement of scientific and clinical education and research in endocrinology for the public benefit through grants, events, research, education of doctors, nurses and scientists, publications and to educate and inform the public and patients through providing support and information on all aspects of endocrinology.

The PAPYRUS helpline , HOPELINE247 Telephone 0800 068 41 41, provides information and practical advice to any young person who is feeling suicidal and to anyone who is worried that a young person they know may be suicidal. PAPYRUS also produces suicide prevention information and resources.

The charity exists to further the welfare of children, young people and adults in the area of West Yorkshire, especially those who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless. It provides housing, mentoring, counselling, advisory and welfare services, family care and personal development opportunities. The charity's main activity is to provide housing and support to ex offendors.

The Charity activities include improvements to the patient environment ,delivery of healthcare and a commitment to provide funding for research , training and education.Allocated expenditure in the year was used on the following categories ; 28% research , 16% patient related ,14% staff related and contributions to capital of 42% which were spent on equipment and refurbishments.

Francis House Family Trust exists to manage & fund Francis House & Francis Lodge Children & Young Peoples Hospice. Providing respite & end of life care for children & young people with life limiting conditions, and the necessary support and short term care for their families. Care is available to families regardless of cultural or religious backgrounds. Care is family and child /young person led.
