Health Charities

We make grants of money to organisations actively involved in the support and care of refugees and asylum seekers, with special reference to those with mental health problems and young people.

Our primary aim is to make contact with, and provide practical support to, people throughout Newbury and West Berkshire who have suffered disablement following a stroke. We also aim to provide relief and support to dependants and carers of such persons, where there is a need.

Relief of persons in need. Support of local religeous and counselling groups. Provision of subsidised housing to people in need. Provision of minibus to local youth & community groups.

Magic Lantern runs interactive art history workshops in schools and a range of adult groups including prisons, homeless centres and hospices. We show that anyone can understand and enjoy art. We also show how art can enhance and bring to life any curriculum subject or topic and can help develop a range of life skills including problem solving, critical thinking, communication and confidence.

The provision of facilities and amenities to patients and staff of UCLH Foundation Trust hospitals in addition to those funded by the NHS.

Social and educational activities for all ages. Computer suite. Hall for hire for private and community groups and classes such as Pilates for cancer recoverers, judo, yoga, telescope making, zumba, children's art class. Luncheon club on Mondays - no age restrictions. Film club.

The Charity provides help to the sick or disabled who are in financial need. Grants may be made to purchase among other items, equipment, special clothing, help with energy bills and respite care. Support is also given to the Community Nurses by providing help with training courses, books and special equipment not normally funded by the NHS.

The principal activity of the company continues to be that of promotion of relief for persons suffering from cancer in North and East of Sri Lanka.

The object of the charity is to provide grants to and/or for the benefit of people with learning disabilities formerly living in Normansfield and for others living in the borough of Richmond Upon Thames or having strong connections with the borough.

Training and education of Orthotists

Mercy missions to the poor and orphans in Europe and needy communities around the United Kingdom. Medicines, blankets, shoes and warm clothing are sent into Europe, Eastern Europe and Ukraine to needy families and orphanages. Seminars to help families in the UK in home relationships, marriage breakdowns and needy children. Seminars to equip counsellors to help others in crisis.

Parish support. Short breaks for those in difficult circumstances, support for women prisoners and families, school children in deprived area, womens refuge. Blankets, baby clothes, toilet bags to hospitals, support members overseas, literacy, development, health education, famine relief.

To maintain St Mary's Court, 56 Bute Road Wallington which consists of 15 self contained flats for residents (and one for a Warden) who must be members of the Church of England and who have resided within the boundary of the ancient parish of Beddington (or who have been a member of the Electoral Roll of one of the present parishes) for the previous 5 years.

To relieve patients and former patients of The Victoria Memorial Hospital Welshpool who are sick convalescent disabled handicapped infirm or in need of financial assistance and generally to support the charitable work of the said hospital

Provision of Almshouses

The charity makes donations to charities, local authority departments or other trusts where the recipient organisation is using the funds to assist with improving the quality of health of those individuals being supported by that organisation.

The Charity runs a bookshop in Cwmbran town centre. As part of the operation, many of the customers also seek to share burdens and are prayed for: effective counselling.

The charity provides premises for the benefit of the people in the parish of West Monkton for educational and recreational purposes. Users include, Badminton clubs, Dance clubs, Brownies, National Childbirth Trust, Camera Club, Monkton Players Drama Club, etc as well as specific events and exhibitions. Also meeting place for South West of England Samaritans Group.

The relief of sickness and the protection of health by making grants for the provision of general medical health services

The Trustees are required to hold the capital and income of the Trust Fund for the benefit of St Catherine's Hospice (Lancashire) Limited which is a registered charity number 512186

Religious Institute of the Roman Catholic Church. Religious Sisters living in communities in Leicester, York and Birmingham and carrying out charitable works including the advancement of the Roman Catholic religion, for example prison chaplaincy, breavement counselling, hospital visiting, parish ministry, catechetics and community service.

Support given to Hospitals and medical charities in or near Birmingham, and supporting small Organisations

For use of inhabitants of the Parish of Mountfield and surrounding areas as a meeting place for village activities and recreations, such as parish council, social club, horticultural society, blind club, community transport, painting classes, dancing classes, birthday parties, wedding receptions, funeral wakes, fund raising activities.
