Africaid was set up in response to the challenge of HIV & AIDS in Africa. In 2005 Africaid launched Whizzkids United which provides health, education and empowerment services for disadvantaged youth. Activities include:Life Skills training through football, Peer Education & Health Academies which provide sexual and reproductive health services including HIV testing & ARV treatment.

The centre provides a wide range of activities and project accessible by members of the local community. It is primarily aimed at the elderly and disabled, children and young people as well as the wider community. This may involve access to day care provision, Education & Training,Healthy Living activities etc The centre works with local groups and organisations to help deliver community project

Help the Child raises funds through a number of events throughout the year, with the purpose of providing items of specialist equipment and educational toys for children with special educational needs, physical disability or sensory impairment within Somerset.

The charity provides funds to support the health & welfare of hospital patients. Funds are raised by voluntary contribution at work, special fundraising events & bequests. Requests are received from NHS staff for support.

Provides financial support for the Parish Church of the Ecclesiastical Parish of St. Mary Magdalene Newark for defined purposes.Provides financial support for facilities for the benefit of the patients in Newark Hospital for which provision is not made out of public funds.

The Drayton Centre is a community building serving the residents of Drayton and Farlington managed by a group of Trustees. It provides a venue for various activities for all ages ranging from maternity classes to over 60's Singing Group, art and crafts to exercise classes. It is also available for private hire and concerts.

Friends of Brooklands School (from now on known as FOBS) charity aims are to raised funds to enhance the curriculum and provide opportunities above the curriculum for the children of Brooklands School, all of whom have severe, profound or complex learning difficulties, including autism.

Club facilities given free of charge to aid charity events. This could be equivalent to a saving of £130 the usual charge for hall hire & bar staff. Our premises are used free of charge by The Bristol (Stockwood area) Stroke Club. Also the premises have been offered free of charge to Bristol Children's Hospital for disabled children during school holidays.

The Trust currently supports Christian mission, relief work and education in eastern Africa, primarily Uganda.In the UK, Discovery Trust supports Elevate Life, a not-for profit initiative that supports young people in both primary and secondary education who are suffering from depression and a range of other mental health issues

The object of the Group is the relief, care and treatment of premature and sick newborn babies in the Special Care Baby Unit at York Hospital, by assisting with the purchase of specialised medical equipment, improving amenities and facilities and supporting the educational and vocational training of staff on the unit.

The Albany Trust meets its objects through making referrals to a team of counsellors and psychotherapists who work freelance to provide a psychosexual and general therapy service for clients in personal distress.The Trust also replies to general enquiries for information concerning mental and sexual health.

Our charity helps blind people who live in the metropolitan borough of Wigan. We hold weekly social classes in the day. We hold day trips in the summer. We also offer advice on equipment and will order when requested daily living aids .

The association aims to improve attitudes towards mental ill health and promotes practical measures and research for preventing and combating mental distress.
