Charitable Housing for the poor and needy of Hopton and Carsington

Providing a free radio transmission service to patients within Ysbyty Gwynedd. Providing streaming of the radio service online available for anyone to listen to.

With the rebuild of the hospital, from the original 1930's building to a the new facility, the Friends now provides a small convenience shop for use by the public attending for all outpatient services; also for inpatients and relatives of the four wards, as well as the hospital staff, and respond to requests for medical and other equipment requested.

Support community. Organise day trips and theatre evenings. Pass on to members important information as to their wellbeing and when members are ill at home or hospital or died so that members can support and help each other.

To give assistance of a financial nature to individuals or groups dealing with sick or elderly people

Exercises with therapist & music. Tuition with tutors for various activities i.e. pewter work - glass painting - sewing and embrodiary cards - scrabble and dominoes etc.

The object of the League of Friends(PTA), is to advance the education of the pupils in the school. Our objectives may a) develop more extended relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school; b) engage in activities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it; c) assist in the provision of such facilities.

Work with the helpless,homeless and needy in the Reading Area as well as parish visits to the sick,lonely,terminally ill and bereaved. Donations were made to other Charity Organisations with similar objects as well as to individuals.

Hospital broadcasting service, based at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff

To support and advance the education of the pupils of Peak Special School by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities and equipment. To provide additional funds for the hydrotherapy pool.

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CHARITY IS THE RELIEF OF PERSONS WHO ARE BLIND OR PARTIALLY SIGHTED BY THE PROVISION FOR SUCH PERSONS OF FACILITIES FOR EMPLOYMENT AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING.

London Borough of Richmond. Supporting patients of Barnes Hospital (a Mental Health facility) and people with a health need in the community in the area covered. Some active fundraising. Donations, including legacies, are received from members of the Friends and from local organisations.

To raise funds, invite and receive contributions inorder to provide and assist in the provision for equipments and facilities especially for the deaf and hearing-impaired children not normally provided by the Local Authority.

Fundraising to promote the relief of sickness of children by providing funds to assist with the provision of a bone marrow transplant unit at the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital.

Sponsorship of workshops and conferences to advance and further education,training and research in the psychology of children with visual or other disabilities and developmental difficulties

Supporting people affected with life threatening or chronic illness

Basildon Hospital Radio provide an entertainment and information service to the patients, staff and visitors to the hospital. Most of our programmes are music based with our daily request shows and our weekly programme aimed at the hospital staff being the most popular. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and broadcast 24 hours per day with both live and computer-controlled programmes.

Golborne Mosque Trust carries out a range of activities for its members and local community. The main activities are: prayer services; the trust runs five daily prayers and Jummah prayers throughout the year.Ramadan: facilitating congregational prayer services and free daily iftar.Social gathering for events such as Eid celebrations, funeral prayers/memorial and spiritual counselling.

We manage subscriptions, donations and legacies in favour of the Health Centre and use the money for the benefit of the patients and Doctors.

The Charity distributes various monies to support a variety of charities such as care and relief of cancer, hospitals, art, animals, church, children, lifeboats, ex-servicemen. It operates in Scotland as well as England.

The Friends run a small cafe, managed entirely by volunteers, which provides the funds to enable the purchase of amenities and equipment for all the patients who attend, and staff who work at Barking Community Hospital.

WVC provides services such as transport to medical facilities (hospital, dentist & optician appointments) and to and from social/educational opportunities.

Premises are available to rent for regular group activities,pilates,folk dance,playgroup,childrens parties and social community events only where there is no alcohol. We encourage groups who run keep-fit activities, dance and children's activities

'Plymouth & West Devon Cassette talking Newspaper' creates and distributes audio cassettes of local or relevant news items on a weekly basis to blind folk in the Plymouth and West Devon Area. There are currently about 200 registered users of the service for which no charge is made.

Our charity continues to support requests from family's and small charities. We also support Cancer Research on a yearly basis.
