The Friends of St.Joseph's are a fundraising group,set up for the benefit of residents and day people who use St.Josephs adult services.The funds raised are to provide additional amenities and opportunities that contribute to their quality of life.

Financial /practical assistance to individual patients or family members, for example, for transport or accommodation costs. Provision of equipment not available on the NHS. Maintenance of the garden.

Grants to health professionals, such as Consultants,doctors, nurses and physiotherapists for travelling and studying best practices at centres of breast cancer excellence.

We give counselling/help by phone, to existing & prospective members. We check dogs for food sensitivities, recommend diets to help the epilepsy and gradually remove food sensitivities, which helps the dogs, thus helping the owners. We attend shows/events to publicise the work of the group. We publish 4 newsletters a year. We receive no funding other than membership subscriptions and donations.

Registered Charity for the upkeep of the historic church building of St.Andrew's, Halstead.

The charity promotes the development of psychic and spiritual healing that further the harmonious development of Man and provides psychic and spiritual development programmes and healing services for the benefit of members and the public. In providing this mandate the JCPF bars no person for reasons of colour, ethnicity or creed.

Relief of persons who are profoundly deaf, by research and the provision of electrical devices for surgical implantation

Our aim is to support deaf children, their families and those actively involved in the welfare of children with all ranges of hearing loss. We will ensure children are supported in their home environment and in their social interactions.We will organise regular events that are inclusive for children with hearing loss to maintain friendships and provide families with a peer group.

Provision of housing for people who need assistance

Academic Ear, Nose and Throat surgery conferences twice yearly, with public lecture every two years.Sponsorship of ENT surgeons/doctors to undertake additional training and academic study.

The upkeep and maintenance of the reading room and attached cottage - rented out.

We provide an area where groups can teach classes for the local community including over 40s & 50s keep fit, karate, and dance as well as holding fund raisers for charities in the form of jumble sales etc...We also provide an office for the local councillors surgeries for the local community to voice their concerns. the local elections are also held here at the community hall.

To perform choir concerts in a variety of venues from Church Halls to Churches and Concert Halls, for a variety of organisations including Charities. We have a wide range of musical styles, from 'pop' to oratorio.

The Charity exists to run the Adur and Hove Stroke Club. This club is run exclusively by volunteers and meets once a week on Friday afternoons to provide a social opportunity to its members who have suffered a stroke and may otherwise be housebound. The club also provides refreshments and is able to offer transport and excercise to those members who wish to take advantage of this facility.

Records the local weekly newspaper and other information for distribution on USB memory sticks and other media to blind and visually impaired people.

We are a self supporting, self help group. We collect our members for monthly meetings and provide a social meeting with games and refreshments. We also organise one day outings and five day holidays. The group activities are organised by the treasurer and chairman.

Encouraging, identifying and supporting scientific research that will produce the greatest impact in the shortest time by establishing the causes of and preventing cerebral palsy.Bringing together the communities and organisations that will inform and influence the setting of global research priorities.Hosting and contributing to international workshops and conferences to share the insights.

Counselling

To provide a building for the local community to meet and pursue many and varied opportunities in the field of Education, Leisure, Training, Young People with Disabilities, Spiritualist Church, Sport for Young People, Seniors & Community Clubs including Youth Club, Art, Tai Chi, Aycliffe Day Nursery, Children Art & Craft Workshops & Icing class, dementia friendly building with dementia champions.

The charity records the weekly newspapers, which cover the south devon towns of Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Ivybridge. The technicians, readers and other helpers are all volunteers. A christmas party is organised for listeners.

WE WORK TO ARTICULATE LOCAL VIEWS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF THE HOSPITAL TO LOCAL PEOPLE. THE COMMITTEE MEETS REGULARILY TO RECEIVE AND DECIDE ON REQUESTS FOR THE USE OF OUR FUNDS.

Manages and lets allotments owned by the charity. Leases agricultural land owned by the charity the general relief of the poor of the parish eg. Donations to long term sickness-long term hospital treatment. Supply of fuel, clothing and other necessaries.
