Dalgarno Pre-school provides quality, care,education to pre-school children providing them with a good foundation for starting school. We follow the EYSS Foundation Stage Curriculum & believe in giving our children a healthy start in life.The children as well as having educational needs met, also participate in movement & dance and pe sessions.We are members of OFSTED & PSLA.

Holding activities for the local community, dances,quizes,the WI, talks, film shows etc and the hall is used a number of evenings for badminton. The hall is also hired for private functions i.e. birthday parties, weddings, cubs etc. We fund raise to keep the hall in good state of repair by doing jumble sales, race nights, dances etc.

The Latin Programme - Via Facilis improves English literacy in state primary schools through the study of Latin and English grammar. Classes taught range from years 3 to 6. The work done in class and the lesson plans are tailored to meet the needs of both the school and the pupils, with a focus on mixed abilities and different learning strategies.

We are a Brass Band organisation and have a Championship Brass Band who perform worldwide, a B Band who perform locally and our Academy where we provide brass and percussion tuition and instruments to children in the locality who wish to learn music.

The Trust considers all worthwhile causes but Grants are more likely to be given for projects which fall within artistic, literacy, literary, musical and theatrical criteria. Riot Ensemble's activity includes - but is not strictly limited to:- Commissioning, planing and presenting contemporary music events;- Advancing, improving, developing and maintaining public education in, and appreciation of, the art andscience of music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation ofpublic concerts and recitals;

The charity aims to improve the quality of life of the residents of Menston by providing facilities for the education, social welfare, recreation, and leisure time for residents. The trust principally achieves its objects through the running of the village community centre, which incorporates the library, bowling club, doctors surgery, and children's centre.

S.C.F.W.I have continued to offer opportunities for members to take advantage of many varied educational courses e.g. computer technology; food hygiene; bowls; photography etc. within Somerset.

Dark Horse works and campaigns to improve the lives of individuals with learning disabilities via a range of projects using performance arts. As well as national touring of high quality productions to theatres throughout the UK , the company trains actors and delivers client specific workshops and commissioned performances. Weekly classes on comparative philosophy, organisation of talks, short courses, seminars, education for citizenship through volunteering, range of volunteering activities (including community gardening, litter picks, maintenance of bee sanctuary and education of the public on bees), educational nature walks, digital and printed magazine on philosophy and education.

The objectives of the Barnstaple Musical Comedy and Dramatic Society are 1) To educate the public in the dramatic and musical arts. 2) To further the development of public appreciation and taste in the dramatic and musical arts by the promotion and public performance of plays, drama, comedy and other dramatic and musical works.

Paraiso School of Samba is led by artists who grew up immersed in the Rio de Janeiro samba carnival culture and provides open-access classes and workshops in authentic samba music and dance, performs at festivals and events and parades at major UK and overseas carnivals.
