The charity enables and offers a number of services to improve literacy in the disadvantaged areas of Ipswich, directly and by funding partner organisations, including encouraging attendance at ante-natal and post-natal classes, encouraging parents and early years settings to read with infants, giving away free book-bags to infants and families, and working with adults who struggle to read.

Regular public worship open to all, providing sacred space for prayer, pastoral work, visiting sick and bereaved, teaching and promotion of Christianity through sermons, courses, small groups, events, literature and school assemblies. The objects of St Mary's with St George's are those of a Christian church, including those of worshipping God, preaching the Good News, celebrating and administering the sacrament, spiritual care for people, and supporting the work of the wider Church of Christian mission and the relief of the suffering. Sheffield Music school, which is held every Saturday morning, aims to offer quality music making in a fun, friendly and nurturing environment. We support pupils from Grade 1 to post Grade 8 through their individual musical journeys and pride ourselves in offering a bespoke programme of musical experiences. Funding provided by the Heritage Fund and other organizations helped us to complete the restoration of the Orangery and the new building. The formal opening on 17 August 2019, was followed by a variety of events to meet our objectives. We provided activities for all ages and capabilities in art, music, drama, local handicrafts, and free open days for the public to share Ingestre's Heritage.
