Guildford Area U3a organises in excess of 100 groups for persons retired or semi-retired. For an annual donation members are able to attend groups in Art,Crafts,Discussion,Drama,Games,Health Fitness & Leisure,History Languages, Literature, Music, Research and the Sciences.

The presentation of orchestral concerts, workshops and other educational/outreach projects to help to bring music into the lives of the general public.

Promoting wellbeing through yoga music, dance, meditative practice& colourful cultural activities. Understanding how the environment influenced ancient civilisations thousands of years ago to produce life transforming scriptures & literature like the Vedas with deep knowledge about life & the universe through which even today we can learn and improve our quality of life and the world we live in.

We work towards relieving poverty, need, hardship, homelessness, sickness and distress. We aim to facilitate social mobility and improve the quality of life of individuals in need. Through our digital library, we provide free access to life-impacting e-books at the click of a button and on every device. We also partner with agencies that share our ethos in delivering these much needed services.

Samaritans provides completely confidential emotional support 24-hours a day by telephone, face-to-face, email and text, at festivals and outside our centres in prisons, hospitals, schools and workplaces and with the homeless through a network of over 200 branches in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Birmingham Samaritans acts as one of these branches.

The advancement of the art of opera by the provision of artistic projects including performances of rare works related to supernatural and/or gothic subjects.

For music lessons in all styles by qualified experienced teachers on all instruments, singing and music theory. All ages , abilities welcome. Instrument hire, music library, music shop, practice rooms available. Music appreciation classes are held at the school which is also the public examination centre for practical music exams.

East Grinstead and District Lions Club (CIO) operates in the East Grinstead and surrounding areas in Sussex, Surrey and Kent, raising funds though activities by organising local events such as our May fair, Donkey Derby, Swim Night and selling secondhand books at the local Railway stations. These funds are then used to mainly provide grants for the benefit of those in need in the local community.

The hall is used for community functions, operating as a community hub with use by: Skelton village school, local youth, adult and senior groups, meetings, classes etc, as well as a polling station. Its activities include keep fit, theatre, dances, school, church and social gatherings and suppers and is available for private hire for social events. Open to all ages, abilities and ethnicities.

BrightSparks Arts in Mental Health CIO (BSA) provides creative opportunities for people living with mental health conditions in Leicester/Shire and beyond to enable them to build self esteem, develop skills and challenge stigma. BSA delivers workshops, projects, events, exhibitions and publications to showcase the work of participants, and provides advocacy and advice to organisations/ the public.

We stage theatrical productions of the highest quality, pushing the boundaries of artistic practice. As well as full productions in theatres, we carry out work such as rehearsed readings and location based pieces such as performances in non-theatrical spaces. We work collaboratively with artists from different fields to make interdisciplinary work that is socially engaged.

Training of church leaders to teach their congregations in their own nations.Provision of Bibles and Christian literature, translation work.Special projects- a school building in Cambodia to give children a Christian education.This work is carried out in various Asian countries.

Provide education to members, organise language and music classes, seminars on religious, social and cultural issues, support women, youth and the elderly. Help members research on religious issues, provide Kirtan and Gurbani experience, help the needy in all respects, celebrate social and religious festival including all Gurpurab's. Create Sikhism awareness by arranging worship and lectures.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the Arts, by (a) producing an annual Festival (b) providing information about artistic activity in Holmfirth and the Holme Valley (c) providing support to local arts organisations in Holmfirth and the Holme Valley (d) acting as an informal conduit between Kirklees and Arts organisations in the Holme Valley

The charity runs the New Windmill Hall, Upminster which is available for use by the inhabitants of Upminster and surrounding areas for recreation and leisure time activities. These activities include wedding receptions,birthday and anniversary parties,ballet dancing, ballroom dancing and concerts etc. Local associations also use the hall for their regular meetings.

Community organisation which aims to support the residents of the local area in the activities of recreation, including a number of societys and a number of different dance groups.

Our core training is based on seamanship and traditional maritime skills, but Cadets can also study mechanical and electrical engineering, communications, cookery, computers, band musician, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, and a host of associated subjects to prepare them for adult life.

Grayshott Concerts promotes top-quality classical music concerts with internationally recognised performers in an intimate, acoustically-perfect village setting on the Hampshire/Surrey borders. GC also helps to nurture exceptionally talented young musicians in the early stages of their professional career with grants and performance opportunities.

To promote the arts and in particular the work of Edward Elgar for the public benefit in and around Worcester, chiefly through the presentation of an annual festival to include concerts, youth activities, exhibitions and other events.

To advance education and heritage preservation, through the appreciation and study of the life and times of the Wriothesley Earls of Southampton (1505-1667), including their collateral descent, with added reference to the advancement of Shakespearean knowledge as it relates to Henry Wriothesley, 3rd Earl of Southampton, William Shakespeare's sole dedicatee.

Based in Clapham in South London, the London Shambhala Meditation Centre offers meditation instruction and weekend and weekday courses in meditation, Buddhism and the meditative arts. The centre is open for free meditation instruction on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:15 pm to 9:00 pm. There is no need to book in advance: everyone is welcome to just come along. Instruction is free of charge.
