Arts Charities

The Charities were combined from a number of small charities from the 1970s for the benefit of people living in the parishes of Epping and Theydon Garnon. Part of the money is used for relief in need and part is used for education grants to students under the age of 24. The charity has made gifts to the elderly at Christmas time, book grants to students and travel grants to students.

Annual Woodley Carnival for the enjoyment of Woodley people with any money raised distributed to local good causes and charitable organisations.

Bedhampton Community Centre facilitates educational, social and leisure activities which promote the well-being of the residents of Bedhampton and the surrounding area. These activities include dancing, indoor sports, events, art, singing, exercise classes, lectures and crafts.

Mission:To enable social change by providing a point of entry to the media and creative industries for individuals from disadvantaged communities. APE MEDIA delivers training, events and production opportunities in the following sectors of the creative industry; TV & Film Production, Radio Broadcast & Production,Music Construction & Production; as well as fashion and performing arts (Dance).

Public worship, Evangelism, Food Bank, Community Space, counselling, Prison Ministry, Befriending, Open The Book, Place of Welcome, Warm Place. Other projects are in the pipeline.

Support individuals, families, groups and organisations, empowering them to develop themselves in order to meet their needs; Promote social reinsertion through training and practical workshops to enable people to change their lives and restore families; Hold cultural and social events, prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals; produce & distribute Christian literature.

Working locally with young people to develop physical and social skills primarily through the arts and in particular those involved in theatre. This is done through workshop sessions and productions on the charity's premises and through similar activities in other centres for young people i.e. schools, colleges and youth centres.

The charity provides a venue for community, sport and recreation activities including football, cricket, tennis, bowls, croquet and camping on the recreation grounds and dance, aerobic classes, amateur dramatics and art classes in the hall.

To promote, advance, improve, restore, develop and maintain for the benefit of the public its education in, and appreciation of, music by the late Dimitri Tiomkin by any means as the directors decide to adopt in their full discretion, and to advance such charitable purposes as the directors think fit from time to time.

Pendyrus Male Choir takes part in concerts, both locally and internationally, to promote Welsh choral singing. This includes an annual gala concert, organised with the aim of bringing internationally renowned artistes to a local audience for affordable prices.

To draw into fellowship the people of the Diocese of Lichfield and the wider community in service and devotion to God and loyalty to the cathedral. To assist in funding the work of repairing and preserving the fabric of the cathedral and its precints, its furnishings and vestments and to beautify it with special gifts. To support the worship and music of the cathedral church.

Deep Roots Tall Trees (DRTT) is a Corby-based arts organisation that aims to extend the relevance of music, singing and the arts to the widest possible local and regional audience.

Provision of English as a Second Language classes for adults; running a Bulgarian school for children providing education in Bulgarian Language and History. Running dance classes for adults and children. Organising the celebration of national holidays. Presentations at local schools on Bulgarian culture. Supporting the local Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

PRESERVATION OF THE LEGACY OF URGYEN SANGHARAKSHITA (1925 - 2018), FOUNDER OF THE TRIRATNA BUDDHIST COMMUNITY (FORMERLY FWBO), INCLUDING THE SANGHARAKSHITA LIBRARY, URGYEN HOUSE AND HIS LITERARY, PHOTOGRAPHIC AND AUDIO ARCHIVES, AIMING TO MAKE THESE ACCESSIBLE AS APPROPRIATE TO FUTURE GENERATIONS.

ACQUISITION OF HISTORIC KEYBOARDS, AND EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND PERFORMERS IN PRESERVATION, RESTORATION AND PERFORMANCE OF HISTORIC KEYBOARDS. PROMOTING MAINTENANCE AND ENHANCEMENT OF BUILDINGS OF ARCHITECTURAL OR HISTORIC INTEREST, AND THE CONTENTS THEREOF INCLUDING "THE COLLECTION" REFERRED TO ABOVE.

Operating a Music School at one main centre and several satellite centres with ensembles and orchestras a choir, music and instrumental teaching, concerts and tours.

To promote the art and training of classical music for the public benefit, in particular (but not exclusively) supporting children and families from black and ethnic minorities. To help support families in severe hardship who will benefit from participating in creative musical activities for social interaction and learn how to play musical instruments to improve mental health and wellbeing.
