Alzheimer's Support exists to improve quality of life for people with all types of dementia and family carers. Services include: Dementia Advisers, Home Support, Day Clubs, carers groups, Alzheimer Cafes, Music for the Mind, Movement for the Mind, art groups, a range of outdoor activities, training courses for carers and local information and support offices.

The charity seeks to advance education in and promote public appreciation of the performing arts, in particular but not limited to, music; and to acquire, preserve, restore and maintain the building of historic and architectural interest situated in Sheffield currently known as Canada House.

Presentation of concerts by Manchester Camerata and other artists in Greater Manchester, North West and throughout the United Kingdom. Provision of learning and Participation work in Greater Manchester and throughout the North West.

An independent scholarly association, with 350 institutional members across around 50 countries, which supports political scientists through: a programme of world renowned conferences and events, all with funding opportunities for members; a publishing portfolio which includes a book series and three leading journals; its own publishing imprint, ECPR Press; and a range of high profile prizes.

The College maintains an Approval and Accreditation Board to improve standards, provides CPD programmes and runs courses and conferences. Guideline statements on professional practice are produced regularly and a peer reviewed journal is published quarterly. Research grants are awarded and a library maintained. Advice is given to Goverments and questions from the general public answered.

FACT provides a range of activities including an exhibition programme including installations, screenings, etc by artists working with digital and visual arts media; a collaboration programme working with local communities; a range of moving image and new media resource services that support the arts sector; education and training initiatives for a range of audiences; and a research programme.

SOE is a membership organisation with individual members,company and academic members. It offers a wide range of technical information, advice and feedback via its website, journals and technical events. It encourages suitably qualified members to register with Engineering Council and operates a licensing scheme - irtec - for vehicle mechanics and technicians.

TO PROMOTE PLANT SCIENCE BY PUBLISHING LEARNED JOURNALS, INCLUDING NEW PHYTOLOGIST. FUNDING EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE BROAD AREA OF PLANT SCIENCES. SUPPORTING DEFINED GROUPS AND MAKING GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS THAT FALL WITHIN THE GENERAL REMIT OF THE TRUST.SPONSORING SYMPOSIA AND OTHER SCIENTIFIC MEETINGS WITH THEMES RELEVANT TO THE WORK OF THE TRUST.

To apply its income to the education of students of the Royal Northern College of Music by the award of prizes, exhibitions, grants for travel or for the purchase of musical instruments, maintenance allowances or similar benefits.

To promote and assist in the advancement of the education of the public so far as this shall be charitable and in particular to procure the performance of an increase in the understanding of the dramatic arts in all their forms in Wales and elsewhere primarily through the English language.

CBCS acts as an umbrella organisation for voluntary run childcare. CBCS operates some childcare services direct - these include out of school care, playgroup provision and creche facilities - as well as a toy library service and payroll facilities for member childcare groups.

The Factory of Creativity is the Charity name for Hope Mill Theatre which is a small independent theatre based in a grade 2 cotton mill in Ancoats, Manchester which is an area of social deprivation. Hope Mill hopes to grow, letting in new voices and expertise, new ways to support staff, and make the theatre more financially sustainable, develop ways to nurture skills in local people, young and old

The Wiener Library is one of the world's leading archives on the Holocaust and Nazi era. Formed in 1933, its unique collection of over one million items includes published and unpublished works, press cuttings, photographs and eyewitness testimony. It is dedicated to supporting research, learning, teaching and advocacy about the Holocaust and genocide, their causes and consequences.

To foster musical and art education and to promote publice interest in and appreciation of music and art together with raising funds to protect the Heritage of the historical Music Hall for future generations.
