Arts Charities

Established in the 1930s as a philanthropic educational project, Oval House developed as a specialist arts centre in the 1960s, maintaining a strong educational core to the work while establishing an identity as a seed-bedding space for some of Britain's most cutting edge new artists. The work falls into three areas, of equal policy priority:Theatre, Youth Arts and Arts in Education.

Raises funds to support Chichester Cathedral for:The restoration, development and maintenance of the Cathedral. The promotion and improvement of the musical and educational facilities. The restoration, development and maintenance of other buildings in the Cathedral Close. Such other charitable objects and charitable activities as are normally undertaken by the Dean and Chapter.

Bishopsgate Institute provides:A programme of short courses for adultsA programme of cultural events including talks, debates, concerts and performancesA specialist library holding collections concerned with the history of London, the East End, the labour and co-operative movements, freethought and humanismA Community Programme providing financial support to local people in need.

The main aims of the charity are the promotion of the Catholic religion and hospitality to all visitors to the Abbey, in the spirit of the Rule of St Benedict. To preserve the spiritual identity of the Abbey and its Benedictine community through maintenance projects to preserve the Abbey and its building; and running the Abbey's tea shop, farm shop and art gallery for the benefit of its visitors.

The Avenues Youth Project provides out of school hours activities for children and young people aged 11 -25.We provide a range of informal educational opportunities including music, arts, crafts, dance, drama, discussion, radio etc. designed to improve the emotional, social and educational welfare of the young people who attend the project.

The principal activities of the company in the year under review were those of the management and development of Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw Gallery.Our mission statement can be interpreted as thus:To make Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw one of the leading regional art galleries in Wales and an integral asset to local communities in the Dwyfor area.

Publication of the annual journal and quarterly newsletters, maintenance of the library, organisation of the annual conference and quarterly programme of lectures and walks.

ADVANCEMENT OF ALL ASPECTS OF ORTHODONTICS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT INCLUDING RAISING STANDARDS OF MEMBERS IN PRACTICE, THE PUBLISHING OF JOURNALS AND PERIODICALS AND THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TOWARDS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Promotion of Polish Culture, education, hIstory, arts, literature, drama. Maintaining Polish Library and Theatre. Maintaining mutli purpose building to provide recreation facilities, offices, restaurant .

Worship, celebration and youth events. Support of the poor and needy. Educational and training activities. Music and television projects.

A centre of excellence for the study, practice and dissemination of traditional English Folk song, dance and music at the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library and Cecil Sharp House. Providing national and local outreach services to enable and increase access, celebrate diversity and promote equality

The Charity partners with local communities to provide new books each month to children under 5 years of age

Live Music Now is a UK-wide music outreach charity, established in 1977 by Yehudi Menuhin with two strategic aims; To bring live music of the highest quality to those for whom access to its benefits is normally restricted; To support the professional development of musicians at the outset of their careers, ensuring the highest quality of delivery through a rigorous selection and training process.

Regular public worship open to all. The provision of sacred space for personal prayer and contemplation. Pastoral work. Teaching of Christianity through sermons, courses and small groups. Headlong Theatre is one of the United Kingdom's leading touring theatre companies.

The Trust's main activity is its educational work for adult amateur musicians, through its year-round course programme and related musical activities at its residential centre in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

Our aim is to improve/disseminate knowledge of insect science. We organise meetings of a general/specialist nature where scientific knowledge is presented. The relationship of insects to ecology, conservation, food, animal or human health being a part of the science. RE Today is a trading name of Christian Education and provides resources, training and consultancy on all aspects of Religious Education for teachers of Religious Education to pupils aged 5-18.

Founded by the recorded music industry in 1989, The BRIT Trust works to promote diversity and inclusion in the UK by empowering people of all backgrounds through music and the creative arts. The BRIT Trust makes donations to support education and wellbeing activities that inspire people to realise their full potential and life chances, whatever their abilities, ethnicity, gender and sexuality.

Truro Cathedral is first and foremost a church, the seat of the Bishop of Truro and a focus for the mission, life and work of the Church of England in Cornwall. Promotion of cross cultural understanding between Italy and the English-speaking world; organisation of cultural activities; teaching of Italian language and culture; teaching of English language and culture; teaching of History of Art and fine art; maintenance of Library and Archive.

The October Gallery is an arts complex dedicated to the appreciation of the transvangarde - the cross-cultural avant garde. The Gallery hosts exhibitions of art from around the world, talks on art and science, poetry readings, theatre and dance performances. Support is from sales of art, rental of the Gallery's unique facilities, grants, donations, staff, volunteers and friends.

Provision for children, families and young people through resourcing churches and other organizations, and by supporting Christian workers worldwide especially those involved therein as well as the care of orphans, education and literature distribution. Maintaining our unique heritage of supporting children. Grants may be made only where partnership exists and not for unsolicited requests.
