Arts Charities

The investigation and encouragement of science, literature and the arts in relation to Asia. The Society promotes a number of activities in this field: lectures, research workshops and student events. It publishes works of scholarship and a journal. It maintains an important library including prints, drawings and manuscripts relating to the history, religions, languages, art and customs of Asia.

To promote excellence in research, manufacture and clinical practice of contact lenses and related areasRefereed journal, conference, courses, dissemination of information in the field on contact lenses

To advance education for the public benefit by the promotion of the arts, in particular but not exclusively, the art of drama

To provide an educational and cultural centre in or near London to promote the knowledge and use of the welsh language, through educational means; and promote culture and education (e.g. literature, art, music, history, science) particularly relating to Wales and the Welsh people, but not exclusively, for the benefit of the public.

Support & encourage outreach by Churches of God; maintaining full time Lord's servants & gospel workers; assistance towards youth work including Camps; provision & maintenance of meeting places of the Churches of God; contributions to Hayes Press for the publication & distribution of literature; provision for relief of poverty, assistance towards education, medical needs in developing countries.

The objects of the Benslow Music Instrument Loan Scheme are to lend good quality instruments to promising young music students who are unable to afford or obtain a suitable instrument of their own.

THE CHARITY ACTIVITIES PROVIDE THEATRICAL AND MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT, TALKS BY LOCAL PEOPLE, EDUCATIONAL CLASSES THROUGH THE ADULT LEARNING SCHEME. BALLET AND DANCE CLASSES ARE HELD FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN AS WELL AS THEATRICAL TRAINING. SPORTS AND KEEP FIT ACTIVITIES FORM AN IMPORTANT PART OF OUR ACTIVITIES.REVENUE IS EARNED FROM ROOM HIRE AND PROVISION OF FACILITIES TO EXTERNAL ORGANISATIONS.

Activities provided for service users in recovery from drug and alcohol misuse or mental health issues include A Drop in Centre, A Listening Service, an Outreach Service, a Night Service, Supported Housing, Training and Education and various activities including Arts and Crafts, Singing, Smart Recovery, Tai Chi, Serenity, Family and Friends Support, Gardening, Creative Writing, Freedom Programme.

For the public benefit:(i) qualifying individuals as professionals in measurement and control and as engineers and scientists,(ii) disseminating knowledge and information, on/about development in the industry, through learned society activities such as publications, symposia and technical meetings etc.

Our mission is to create and curate eclectic series of high-quality events and projects in and around Oxford for the enjoyment of all.

Arts and Educational Activities

THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY THE PROMOTION OF THE ARTS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THE ART OF DRAMA

FOUNDED IN 2007, HIGHTIDE FESTIVAL THEATRE DISCOVERS AND DEVELOPS EMERGING PLAYWRIGHTS, PRODUCING THEIR WORK IN AN ANNUAL FESTIVAL IN SUFFOLK AND THROUGH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TOURING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE WIDEST PUBLIC, PROMOTING UNDERSTANDING AND ENJOYMENT OF THE ARTS.

We support children's healing through sports, arts and crafts, healthy eating, mentoring, days out and holidays within the UK and abroad. The glue that binds our programmes together is a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and loving environment where happy memories can flourish. We believe every child deserves happiness.

Sheffield Music Academy exists to inspire excellence and provide a comprehensive, stimulating programme of learning to musicians aged 4-19 with outstanding ability, dedication and potential across South Yorkshire and beyond. A thriving and vibrant music school; students have the opportunity to develop their talent and grow in self-confidence through over 40 public performances a year.

Current funding priorities are: Medical Research - with a preference for projects relating to surgeryHospice and Respite Care - with a focus on relieving painYoung People - particularly teenagers, young offenders and those in careThe Environment - addressing the harmful effects of human activityThe Arts - supporting musical tuition and concerts, concentrating on youth

Arts and environmental activities for all concentrating on the socially excluded. Art and Craft activities for adults including pottery, painting and drawing; Boat handling courses. Same for young people and children including environmental activities and park maintenance. Accredited courses available. Adult Support Services. Gallery for exhibitions, and local community boat trips.

Lending library & educational facilities - including courses, lectures and visits - and provision of grants.

MAYK Theatre CIO is a producing organisation with charitable aims to promote, maintain, improve and advance appreciation and understanding of the arts, locally, nationally and internationally. We do this by supporting the development, touring and programming of artistic projects, with artists, to be experienced by the public.

A social action centre supporting vulnerable people in crisis. The centre provides day care services for the homeless and people in emergency accommodation including a food bank, clothing/bedding/kitchen appliances, a shower, washing machine and dryer, community cafe, TV lounge and garden.

Multistory commissions acclaimed photographers, film-makers and writers to work with local people to tell their stories of everyday life to create art that people want to be part of, see and talk about. We produce photographic work, films, exhibitions, publications, digital stories and archives that speak to Sandwell and to the whole country and beyond.
