Arts Charities

CUMS supports a number of musical ensembles composed largely of students at Cambridge University.

The promotion of literature, language and the arts through a book or literature festival in Derby and such other activities as the charity trustees shall from time to time determine

Principal objectives: support of the Armenian Church of Saint Sarkis in London and the Gulbenkian Library at the Armenian Patriarchate in Jerusalem; other charities concerned with the Armenian Community in the UK and abroad. A few grants are also made to registered charities concerned with the welfare of prisoners in the UK, but the Trust does not accept unsolicited proposals for this priority.

Advancing the education in the art and appreciation of music and other performing arts, including the provision of workshops and informal presentations of process work.Promoting education in music, in particular but not limited to young people, including awarding bursaries or other funding to enable them to develop their education and skills in music.Making appropriate charitable donations.

IOL provides a wide range of CPD in the form of conferences, workshops, mentoring and publications for outdoor learning practitioners.IOL providers forums to develop and disseminate good practice in a wide range of disciplines within outdoor learning.IOL publishes a practitioner journal authored by practitioners (Horizons) and a separate research journal (JAEOL)

To advance education and provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time for the inhabitants of Frome and the surrounding neighbourhood.

The CIO exists to promote, maintain, improve and advance the education of the public in the arts, culture, and heritage, and in particular (but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing), the arts of orchestral, choral and other music.

The main aims of the charity are to advance the religion of Islaam in Bradford for the benefit ofthe public through the establisment of the daily prayers, weekly lectures, conferences and theproduction and distribution of literature to both Muslins and Non-Muslims and to advance theeducation of the Public by providing quality teaching and tutoring.

The community association helps members of the community especially the young and aged. Its activities include a term time playgroup, weekly OAP's group, bingo, football teams, bowls teams, domino teams, table tennis, line dancing, brownies, Irish dancing and function room for weddings etc.

We provide childcare for children 2-5 years, giving them enriched adult supported activities. We have a free flow environment where we encourage in and outdoor play; we explore the area around the setting through walks and visit the local sports hall weekly for physical development. We provide enriched learning opportunities through messy play, crafts, role play, problem solving and much more.

Advancing the education of student ceramicist at Clay College, Stoke, by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for ceramics education at that college.Providing support to enable ceramicists to take up training apprenticeships with experienced potters, thereby to furnish the apprentice ceramicists with practical experience and training. Enabling as many people as possible to worship at our church and to become part of our parish community. Our Services and Worship put faith into practice through prayer and scripture, music and sacrament. The charity's mission is to provide free access to quality medical information to healthcare staff in the developing world. It produces educational films and other resources for distribution to healthcare workers.

Conservation and protection of features of general public amenity or historic or public interests. Medical research, protection and welfare of birds and animals. Study and promotion of music. Religious and educational bodies. Particular emphasis on specific projects for the above aims in the old counties of Gwynedd and Caernarvonshire and Isle of Anglesey.

Walthamstow Toy Library and Play Centre provides safe, creative spaces for children, young people and their adults to play, learn and interact. We run daily play sessions and offer a variety of health and wellbeing support services. We have an extensive toy loaning service and provide a variety of volunteering opportunities for local students and residents.

The Trust owns and operates the Charlbury Community Centre, which includes a large sports hall, a cafe and a multi-purpose space, and provides facilities for a public library operated by Oxfordshire County Council. The Trust also maintains The Playing Close for the benefit of the residents of Charlbury.

The main activities of the charity are the advancement of the Hindu religion, education in hindu traditions, history, language, literature and music. A wide range of events including a number of hindu and other auspicious religious celebrations continue to be carried out throughout the year at various branches.
