Arts Charities

Making Space is a visual arts charity working in the socially deprived area of Leigh Park. We provide hands-on, participatory workshops for all age groups and levels of experience with a focus on community work. We also provide studio space and business support for craft makers and visual artists.

Grasshopper Music Trust supports the promotion and appreciation of music (in particular classical music) among members of the public, with particular focus on young people, through the provision of grants. The charity operates across the UK and is based in London. At present it does not accept unsolicited grant applications.

The objectives of the charity are to distribute Bibles and Christian books supplied by donors and supporters of the trust for the advancement of the Christian religion, public benefit or education and the relief of the aged, poor, sick or disabled either in the UK or overseas.

CARM operates across Romney Marsh and parts of rural Ashford in Kent. Our services aim to reduce social isolation and improve access to services for older and vulnerable people. We offer 10 social drop-ins (Meeting Points), befriending services and reminiscence services: Our Memories Matter, Musical Memories Matter and Caring to Remember.

To advance the Muslim religion in Blackburn and the surrounding area for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals and the distribution of literature on the Islamic faith, providing services of worship and religious teaching.

To encourage and promote public interest in the preservation of historical steam powered road vehicles, fairground and agricultural equipment and to promote safe operation, maintenance, repair and exhibition of such equipment by organising training programmes, publication of books and codes of practice and by supporting skills development programmes for youngsters and adults.

The object of the charity is to promote agriculture and to such end generally improve it in all branches and to encourage skill and industry in it and in all trades, crafts and professions connected with it. The principal activity of the charity is to promote the Southwell and District Annual Ploughing Match and Agricultural Show.

To help with the education of those under 25, who reside in the benefit area and are in financial need, by assistance with fees, travel, outfits, clothing, books etc. Also providing schools in the area with educational benefits. Other organisations are not eligible. For persons to be eligible they must live within the Fareham, Hampshire, town parishes (not the larger Borough of Fareham).

Dance United Yorkshire advocates the use of dance as a powerful tool for personal and social development. We create bespoke dance projects and interventions to meet the needs of different groups of people who are struggling with difficult circumstances e.g. people accessing mental health services, women suffering domestic abuse and disengaged young people who may demonstrate challenging behaviours

Accommodating the five daily congregational prayers for males and females.Running an after school Quran Class and Islamic Studies curriculum.School holiday clubs for children between the ages of 7 and 14 involving sports, cookery, arts and crafts.Collecting charity for the less fortunate at times of adversity.Supporting national conferences and training courses outside the centre.

Wren Music works with as many people as possible from all walks of life and especially those excluded from mainstream society, to make music with voice and instruments, using traditional and folk music to inspire creativity, to promote inclusion and to celebrate identity and diversity.

The Trust provides bursaries to the families of choristers of St Paul's Cathedral in cases of financial hardship or lack of means to defray the costs of boarding. It also provides grants to the cathedral towards the education of choristers. In addition it makes grants to the Cathedral School to assist in the costs relating to the fabric or for other projects within the foundations objectives.

To promote, maintain, improve and advance education within the community at large and particularly in the rural areas of the County of Dorset by the promotion, performance and encouragement of the Arts including the arts of drama, dance, music, singing, literature, sculpture, painting, photography and cinematography.

To enable equality of opportunity for all members of the community to have access to quality arts provisions. Artlink aims to provide quality artistic and cultural activities throughout Hull, East Riding, North Linconlnshire and North East Lincolnshire. It has four areas of delivery; outreach arts projects, gallery development, training and the provision of information.

Plymouth Arts Centre is a leading organisation for independent cinema in the SW. Through its overall programme of world and live cinema, talks and events, and Open Air Cinema, Plymouth Arts Centre's cinema encourages critical debate and questions the role that film plays in the wider culture. It is dedicated to the enjoyment, education and stimulation of all through the role of independent film.

The Charity also operates under the name of Hachnosas Orchim Noam Shabbos (London).The object is to the provide Sabbath and Festival meals,promote the advancement of Education and Learning of the Jewish Religion, and the relief of poverty, and assisstance for the aged, vulnerable and infirm, and such other purposes as recognised by English Law as charitable.
