Raising funds through a range of school related activities to support the school and experiences and activities for the pupils

The group is active in assisting the development of young people and supporting them to acheive their physical, spiritual, interlectual and social potential and enable them to become responsible individuals and citizens of their local, national and international communities, in accordance with the principals of the Scout Association, guided by adult leadership, providing a varied, enjoyable.

THE RELIEF OF THE SICK AND ELDERLY RESIDENTS AT CONNAUGHT COURT AND THE FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS BY THE RECEIPT OF DONATIONS AND BY FUND RAISING EVENTS, ALLOWING FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE USE OF THE RESIDENTS AND THE SUPPORT OF THE DAILY ACTIVITIES OF THE RESIDENTS

Provide a pleasant secure and cheap location for village community groups to meet and conduct their activities. Groups using the hall include beavers, cubs, scouts, guides, rainbows, brownies, senior citizens, whist, luncheon club, mothers and toddlers, exercise class, badminton, craft group, kick boxing, and phisiotherapy.

Scouting activities for boys & girls of ages 6 years to 18 years.

Trains, educates and give young persons (many disadvantaged) responsibilities through experience of team work and comradship by using maritime disciplines such as sailing, field activities, classroom work in navigation and life skills including brass band playing.

Activities include arts and craft, games, sporting activities and camping. We organise external people to give talks either on our premises or at their own premises such as Police dog handlers, Police helicopter, RSPCA, Fire Brigade, A drive in a 4 wheel drive vehicle over an assault course.

The object of the charity is to provide voluntary assistance and funds to community activities and projects, both locally, nationally and internationally. It contributes to other national charitable organisations for the purpose of health, education, and care of those in need. The charity works closely with other rotary clubs and is affiliated to Rotary International, a world wide organisation.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, we help young people aged 6 to 14 enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future. We are talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.

1ST CHINLEY SCOUT GROUP PROVIDES LEISURE ACTIVITIES FOR ITS MEMBERS TOGETHER WITH EXCURSIONS AND CAMPS

Provides buildings and land for sporting and social activities for the people of Seaton and surrounding districts.

A NUMBER OF FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES WERE UNDERTAKEN INCLUDING THE ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT, A SPRING LUNCH, AN INDOOR BEER FESTIVAL, AND FESTIVE COLLECTIONS. IN ADDITION SEVERAL CHARITY COMMUNITY EVENTS . FUNDS RAISED ARE USED TO PROVIDE LOCAL SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY YOUNG AND DISABLED. IN ADDITION MANY LOCAL AND MAJOR INTERNATIONAL CHARITIES ARE SUPPORTED.

The objects of the charity are to make a difference to the lives of the young people in the Scout Group, as laid down by the Scout Association, by training and education.

The following groups meet at the community centre indoor bowls / pre school / drama group / wives group / 50 plus group / thursday afternoon club / good companions / flower club & flower arranging club / T.W.G. We also hold concerts / craft fayre / spring fayre.

The trustees may apply the funds raised through activities for the relief of the poor and needy or to such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object as the Club may decide.

Provision of scouting activites to young people

The charity supports local and international charitable objectives. This includes: support to international disasters and emergencies, eg. tsunamis, earthquakes: general humanitarian support, eg. distribution of medical equipment in the third world; support to local hospices, hospitals and disabled institutions and support to needy individuals.

General scouting activities

TO PROVIDE SCOUTING ACTIVITIES TO YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 6 TO 18 YEARS.

Playgroup, Belton Gardening Club, Pilates, community activities, Charnwood Voices (choir) Parish Council Meetings and private hires for children's parties and adult functions.

Follows the principles of scouting as laid down by the Scout Association.
