Scout GroupThe Group's aim, in common with that of the Scout Association, is the physical, mental and spiritual development of young people. The Group meets the Charity Commission's public benefit criteria under both the advancement of education and the advancement of citizenship or community development headings.

Provides a place where people can meet, exchange views, learn and support the local community.

Provide support for ' Seachange ' Budleigh Salterton ( formerly Budleigh Salterton Hospital ) . Provide support via grants to other organisations in the local area that can improve the health and wellbeing of the local community.

To provide financial assistance by way of donations to local and national organisations and individuals.

The group offers the full range of scouting activities - beavers from 6-8 years through to explorers from 14-18 years.

Provision of a range of activities for young people from the age 10 to 18. The Corps is based on the uniform and traditions of the Royal Navy, its aims are to promote naval activities along with developing leadership and communication skills.We currently have 58 cadets on our roll call, along with 25 adult staff.

Scouting activities for young people between 6 and 15 years old in the Ruislip area. The children are split into three sections and participate in age appropriate fun and adventurous activities to promote confidence, learn new skills and become responsible members of the community.

Maintain our guide headquarters - we replaced our roof during 2007 and put in an access ramp in 2011. We have supported all units in their activities with members. As a District we have joined in Rainbow, Brownie and Guide Division and County events.

The Hall is used for the benefit of the village. All village associations use the Hall, Youth Club, Scouts, Playtime, Bowls, Art, WI, Zumba, Pilates, Martial Arts, Theatrical Society, Gardening Association, History Society. Parish Council meetings are also held in the Hall, together with National Associations because of the Hall's geographical position.

FOR THE RELIEF OF THE POOR AND NEEDY OR TO OR FOR SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSE, INSTITUTION, SOCIETY OR OBJECT AS THE CLUB SHALL IN DULY CONSTITUTED MEETING FROM TIME TO TIME DIRECT. ACTIVITIES COVER U.K. & OVERSEAS NEEDS AND FUNDS ARE RAISED FROM STREET COLLECTIONS, FUNDRAISING EVENTS AND MEMBERS OR INDIVIDUALS ACTIVITIES FOR SPONSORSHIP.

Usual scouting activities.

Village Hall available for hire for village activities, meetings, wedding receptions, training, etc. Raising funds to maintain and run the hall.

Organsiation of fund raising activities for children and their parents/carers. Events include Summer Fun day, school discos, Christmas bazaar and Easter events. Evening activies include quiz nights, bingo nights and games evenings. We also raise funds by recycling clothes.

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society, guided by the Scouting values of Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief and Cooperation. We promote and provide scouting activities for young people, in partnership with adults in the Malpas and surrounding areas of South-West Cheshire.

We provide young people with opportunities to develop their confidence, self-respect and social responsibility. Life skills such as teamwork, independence and communication skills are embedded in our activities. Our goal is to inspire the next generation to realise their potential and seize a better future through nautical adventure based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy.

METHOD: By providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the scout promise and law, guided by adult leadership.
