Our objective as a charity is to advance the education of the pupils of Dene Magna School by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school (not readily provided by the local education authority).Funds are raised by holding events such as Quiz Nights, a Summer Fayre and Christmas Draw. Funds are distributed as grants to school departments.

Fund raising in order to support the maintenance of Thorverton Parish Church

Will bequest to support masonic lodge charitable activities.

Fundraising to assist Children of Eastcourt Independent School

Supporting children with disabilities having short breaks away from home, the charity provides toys, outings, sensory equipment, items to enhance childrens leisure time and funding towards the vehicle owned by the home

To provide social and leisure activities for people with learning difficulties living in Cannock and the surrounding area.

Social activities including some art and craftTrips to local events and cinemas

Bingo held in Thomas Gaughan Community Centre, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings.

General Charitable purposes

Mainly we make one-off grants to local bodies, eg, to the youth section of the village sports club for a "Wii".

Fundraising enables us to supply essential medical equipment. We also offer services & organise activities for patients & provide a link with the local community.On the closure of the Bolingbroke patient services & the Day Hospital moved into St. John's Therapy Centre from where we now operate. To avoid confusioin for our patients we are known as The Bolingbroke & St. John's Friends.

Fete's, Trips, Raffles, entertainment

The group meets once a month. It is an important social gathering for the membership who are elderly. We have interesting speakers and include sessions learning crafts. We have outings to places of interest with educational input. We support the work of the IOW Ability Dogs for young people.

Girlguiding UK

1st Hawkhurst Beavers, Cubs and Scouts provides fun learning and outdoor activities for local children. Putting an acquired skill or skills into action. Experience a sense of belonging. Nurtures self-esteem. Exercise resourcefulness. Exemplify teamwork. Share responsibility. Feel successful. Learn a life lesson.

Girls work through a programme, which has been designed to further the girls social and development skills, along with outdoor activities and residential experiences.

Providing women of all ages and interests an opportunity to take part in activities within the local community; this can take the form of educational trips covering a very wide range of subjects but also to providing friendship often to our older members. We meet at least once a month and join other W.I.'s periodically for interactive events.

Fundraising throughout the year to make donations to local charities or local branches of national charities. This is the service to the community of our organisation.
